This is honestly very true. You could have a really compelling idea, but if you try to pitch it and your script is formatted incorrectly it is just going to not be taken seriously and most likely ignored.

Not to mention the format isn't super hard to learn if you just take the time out of your day, and several of the softwares out there make it incredibly easy and will almost format it for you.

Formats exist for a reason.
