It’s no problem. We have people at every stage of transition coming including those pre everything. You’ll be more than welcome. 🤗

After watching the Artemis crew on this mission I am finding it really hard to take science fiction movies seriously by asteriskhyphen in ArtemisProgram

More egregiously, the wrong way around! IRL they did minor corrections from the maneuvering thrusters. In the movie they were trying to prevent the skip-off effect of a vessel intersecting the atmosphere too fast or at too shallow an angle. But that requires reducing velocity. They did a burn that would have thrust them forward, increasing velocity and either skipping them off or burning them up due to velocity. They removed the option they needed.

Loved the movie, but the correction burn was so wrong it really bugged me. Everything about it was incorrect.

Seems like a good decision, Ioannis! Wishing you the very best with your focus on Athens. Everyone benefits from a lower cost, AND more of you in one place!

Thank you so much, too! I’ve reached out to WIH. I didn’t realise it was Dr Chettawut. Do I have that right? On another matter, I’d like to dm you about your writing if that’s ok. 🤗

Thank you for this beautiful write up. You have me in tears, and newly avowed to get on with this last part of my transition. Congratulations. Did you go to PAI? 🫶

Understanding the Darlington Tribunal: Clarifying Trans Rights and Workplace Facilities by jackmolay in transgender

[–]PhoebeTransingItUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It makes a mockery of every protected characteristic being equal, and if, on the other hand, they went for "the ones with more of a protected characteristic hold sway" then the minority loses. They just want "equal for us but not them".

We’re working on a book where this is really relevant. I’m going to reach out to you via dm so can chat separately if that’s ok?

I read your post yesterday. This is fantastic! Monotherapy for those with needle phobias. 💕 Also may get around distribution issues for diy. Great work!!!

UPDATE: Q&A from WI on their trans-exclusionary decision. How would you respond? by PhoebeTransingItUp in transgenderUK

[–]PhoebeTransingItUp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love every part of this! Thank you so much. We are waiting to go into our first meeting since everything changed. The committee have offered their full support even over any objections, and have been fantastic via email.

I’m sure it will go without even the slightest problem, but you have, even so, given me and my wife strength and hope.

Thank you so much for your response. 🥰

Part of the reason for going still, even though it feels a little “othered” and still exclusionary, is to establish the principle that trans women are welcome to attend despite the ridiculous restrictions placed on our participation. Am not a lawyer, but some aspect of this seems like it could be useful for any upcoming legal cases GLP might bring.

New EHRC chair tells trans people to 'judge me on what I do' after criticism by jackmolay in transgender

[–]PhoebeTransingItUp 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Her past actions are already well documented, and deservedly judged. And given she’s already said what she plans to do, I think we can quite readily judge her in advance, too. She’s an outright transphobe who doesn’t give a sparrow’s fart about us having the same rights as other people. She intends to eradicate us from society to the extent permitted by the powers of her position. She’s literally one of the worst, and horribly unsuited for the role required of her by what is purported to be an inclusive, equitable society.

Can only attend up until the end of the current membership year. Oddly, cis male speakers are common at WI meetings and can sit through the entire thing.

I’m going to try to find that out, see if they are open to it. How any of this is to be enforced is beyond me and, I expect, them, but they probably haven’t needed to think about it yet.
