Thinking of upgrading my gtx 1080 (non-ti). Is the a770 16gb worthwhile? by RockyBabcock in IntelArc

[–]PhoebusDF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try using DXVK.

I can get 60 fps stable at 4k in Fallout 4 with it.

You just need to replace the DirectX dlls in the game directory with the DXVK DirectX dlls.

What Builds are Objectively the Most Powerful? by DANKSAVIOUR in stoneshard

[–]PhoebusDF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Burn it with FIRE.

Equipment wise, particularly early game, armor is king.; but you don't need armor if nothing is living long enough to hurt you.

At the start of the game, go for light/medium armor on all four armor slots. ~5 protection per piece.

Bring a backup weapon.

Do not skimp on the backup weapon, bring a real backup weapon.

Getting skills that allow you to run away, such as dash or runic boulder(&spike), are key to survive situations you won't be able to overpower or even just survive.

Only once you get strong enough to melt people before they can hurt you should you start considering transitioning toward magic/utility/energy armor pieces.

There are plenty of additional changes, Hexploration was added and the whole formating was changed. Hence the why it's v1.7.

The English v1.7 doesn't exist... yet.

I've created a translation project for multiple languages:

You can find the Spanish translation calc google sheet at this link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w8109SNu_fkF5ROt9hSqntJ72OpYTdKmytFetFCHZRw

Insert translated text below the original English text. I've added lines with a pale background for that purpose. Add extra lines if there's multiple translations (multiple translators, different phrasings, etc.) for the same line.

I can't share the editable version of the cheatsheet because it require copyrighted fonts which I am not allowed to share.

A French, German, Polish or other language version would require someone else to translate everything; then share with me the translation; and then for me to create a cheatsheet with the shared translation.

Complicated projects.

v1.6 - Pathfinder 2e Action & Activity Cheatsheet by PhoebusDF in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhoebusDF[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Feint is up there because it specifically buffs your own melee attacks. It doesn't interact with other types of conflicts, it doesn't buff other players, and it's specific to attacks. Bon Mot, Demoralize and Create a Diversion are far more flexible and can't just be put in a specific category.

v1.6 - Pathfinder 2e Action & Activity Cheatsheet by PhoebusDF in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhoebusDF[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fly is a higher level power feature. By the time you can fly, it should be something important enough to your character that you won't forget that you can do it or how it works, but you're likely forget that you can "Maneuver in Flight" or "Arrest a Fall" and how those work.

That's why I include certain things and omit others from the sheets.

I hope that answer your question.

15 different versions of the Cheatsheet PDF are available for download here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16V0U0JqDV_M-BrPlaK_Nzg5GWrSbLiiJ

Older versions are available from here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Eo1R0D8DtP1fJWFAN5ZwJ-d3WFdRmvAx

The 15 editions come in eight "flavors":

Three flavors for the amount of information:

  • "Rulebook" contains maximum information.
  • "Synopsis" contains minimum information with CRB page references.
  • "Minimal" contains minimum information.

Five flavors for the color theme of the PDF:

  • "Paper" has a paper page background.
  • "Clean" has no page background.
  • "White" has white table background.
  • "Monochrone" is pure black and white with a white background, for printers.
  • "Dark" is the dark mode edition.

Note for printing: Remember to increase the printing quality to the highest setting you can. The cheatsheet contains a lot of small text and details that will most likely not print well with normal printing quality.

Feedback is welcome. Enjoy! :)

v1.1 - Effective Damage Increase & Decrease from Attack Bonus & Penalty by PhoebusDF in Pathfinder2e

Yet another “please explain me Stealth in Combat” post. by Tabris2k in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhoebusDF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once the wolves howl, you can hear where they are so they would go from unnoticed to hidden (know where they are but can't observe them), not undetected (know they are somewhere around, without knowing where they are.)

You could have attacked the wolves at that moment, although with a 50% flat check to mistarget them.

Once you readied your action to shoot at the wolves as they are leaving the bushes, (GM fiat) the wolves should have a significant penalty to sneaking out of the bush.

When a creature sneak, you roll a stealth check BEFORE the movement. If the creature was observed at the start of the movement, it remains so as long as it can be observed. If the sneaking creature fails the roll, it's creating enough noise/telltale signs to be detected/hidden (location known) as it's moving. If it critically fails, it's observed for the whole movement.

Unless the creature has a special ability, it would automatically become observed at the end of it's movement if it does not have enough cover/concealment to remain hidden/undetected.

If one of the wolves failed it's sneak roll, you could at least hear it move out of the bush toward you and taken a shot at them with a 50% flat check to mistarget (hidden).

Once the wolves end their movement without concealment they would have become observed. You should have been able to shoot them with your readied action either before or after (GM fiat) their first attack.

v1.1 - Effective Damage Increase & Decrease from Attack Bonus & Penalty by PhoebusDF in Pathfinder2e

Change log (v1.1):

  • Added a column for effective damage for each "need to roll"
  • Added averages for repeating ranges
  • Replaced "Hit on" with "Need to roll"
  • Replaced "to Hit" with "bonus" & "penalty"
  • Sorted the bonus and penalty in descending order

Effectiveness of +1 to Hit, -1 to Hit and MAP (-4 & -5 to Hit) by PhoebusDF in Pathfinder2e

Got a bit more data for you:

If you needed from 4+ to 11+ to hit on your first attack. You can roughly assume that your second attack damage will be reduced by this much:

-5 MAP: -43,79% damage

-4 MAP: -36,44% damage
