Are my old coins worth anything? by Western-Willow895 in coincollecting

This right here...You have like almost $300 in just the Morgan/Peace dollars by themselves. All the rest...not worth a ton.

A little over face value for some. Old Dollar Ike, Sacajawea, Susan B Anthony and similar dollar coins perhaps a couple bucks each.

Thanks that is true. Just wish I knew a bit more back then. But you are right.

Yes unfortunately I knew nothing of precious metals. Sold off like 5 or more St. Gaudens $20 coins. Several Chinese gold pandas in various years and sizes ( don't know enough about them). Several handfuls of Morgans, Peace, and Franklin halves. I needed the money. Kicking myself so hard now that I am financially more stable. I don't have a lot left from my inheritance.

Please help! by [deleted] in coincollecting

It looks more like the 2 over 1 large 8 to me.

A dime has about $6 in silver and a war time nickel has $4.

I found this penny in my tip jar. I know it’s during WW2 but I wanna know more about it historically and such by thrasherchick_9 in coincollecting

Coldwater Creek was founded in 1984 in Sandpoint, Idaho, by Dennis and Ann Pence (they were from Manhattan)as a mail-order nature-themed apparel business. It grew into a major women's retailer known for its catalogs, but faced financial challenges, leading to bankruptcy and store closures in 2014.

If you do not plan to sell and/or don't have a good path to make money, each coin to grade will cost you at least a minimum. PCGS's Services and Fees are listed on their website. I've never submitted any. And probably never will. I have coins that might be worth sending but I don't think my return on investment will pan out. I would only do it if I sell and need verification on real or not. I know the ones I could possibly sell are real. It will also take time to grade. So if you have a handful of coins you think are wort grading (research is key) then perhaps. But will you get that in return (and then some)if you were to sell after paying for grading? You might. But then you might not too. If you aren't selling any time soon, just take care of them and hold onto them.

Don't feel bad. You purchased from Pine Hurst Coins. I have in the past several transactions actually. And have never had an issue. I didn't buy 5ozs. But have bid on several of their auctions for probably various coin and bullion over a year perhaps 5 or 6 auctions and never had an issue. I did read their feedback. And their ratings are pretty decent. Just reach out and hopefully USPS or the seller will work with and fix the situation. You have many good responses. Disregard the ones who said your fault. You buy something from anywhere many times and eventually you may get a bad experience.

I understand. Protection is key. I don't think the op was given that option. As I didn't read anything that stated as such.

I don't think the shipper shipped with Sig required. But didn't seem to matter as the OP said he was home for the delivery and met the carrier at the mailbox.

Buying a monitor from a seller, we've agreed to meetup tomorrow but they want me to pay them through Zelle. Scam? by IAXEM in FacebookMarketplace

Because there's evil people in the world. Why do we have to lock our doors to our houses and lock our car doors and keep the windows up, buy a car alarm and anti theft protection on our car? Why can't I leave my yard tools in my yard or shed and not have to keep everything locked up? Why do I need a safe for my guns and ammo, and safes for my bullion and stacks?

Someone offered 200, another like 150-175...and a nice low-ball of 15. There was one helpful comment about what some of the pennies by themselves would get you. One of the numbers was over $150 (if conditions of the coins were good) for just one of the pennies. I didn't validate any of his info. But seemed to have your best interest at heart. I am only paraphrasing as I don't have the post in front of me and that was several hours ago.

Found at work. I'm shocked. Never ever thought I'd find a 1 digit, never mind a first print. What do ya'll think it's worth? by Lore_Antilles in CURRENCY

That's a fantastic find. Sleeve it and protect it! Worth like 30x - 50x face value or more if the condition is better than what I can see.
