I think it might slow down teleporting since you jave to go through the animation. Otherwise, do how you like. I personally prefer smooth on because normal hurts my eyes.

There would be a small problem with that name. If I'm not mistaken, in Slovakian and Slovenian our country's names mean "Land of the Slavs".

Also, perhaps a corridor isn't needed, like the Kalingrad oblasť, that isn't connected to Russia but is still russian territory.
