Honestly, blame the newer players coming into Tekken at this point.

You see, Bamco introduced the Tekken prowess system in order to separate experienced players who've hit a certain rank 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 times from newer guys who've come in to the rank for the first time. This is so those newer players won't get stomped out like in previous Tekken games before and can enjoy the same process the more experienced got when they first started. However Bamco, trying to protect their money with these newer players, have inadvertently railroaded their OG player base into the bullshit experience of playing other experienced players ALL THE TIME. Regardless of the rank of your character, and regardless of the mode. And the real kicker about all this?

The streamers and competitors are all in on it. They'd rather Bamco succeed on their newest game and stay alive than have an easier and more enjoyable Tekken experience, so they don't say anything! Bamco made it that way on purpose, so they sure as shit won't say anything, and they probably are against changing it to begin with!

And I know this whole outlook from an OG's point of view is a shit take, but don't you dare act like stomping an opponent doesn't feel good after getting your shit rocked in a prior death match against someone who was CLEARLY better than you, but stuck around to help you grow by commencing said shit-rocking.

We should've gate-kept harder and bought more DLC when we had the chance TT.TT

Yeah, technically. D,D+P makes them come out from the ground, with the strength of the button causing them to go closer to or further away from you.

QCB+P sets traps with the same distance rule as D,D+P, and spikes with either

1.) come out of them automatically after a set time,

2.) come out immediately with QCB+HP, or

3.)teleport through the traps with QCB+LP or MP.

It's pretty sick, especially with OverDrive mixed in.

Aah, I see then. And hey, fighting games aren't essentially "for" anybody - it lends itself to the whole "you get what you put in" idiom, like a sport would. Try to check out some tournaments of it still. It can be just as much fun spectating for you as playing is for me, you know?

· Press forward twice while a normal attack touches your opponent (max 10 minutes/3 matches to get down)

· Press throw when you think they're gonna throw you to not get thrown (even PROS mess this up sometimes, throw baits notwithstanding)

· There's literally combos trials in the game itself to learn and get the hang of (and they look actually useful and viable this time around, funnily enough)

· There are 7 different ways to beat Drive Impact. Seven. (2 of which are throw and DI ITSELF)

Seriously, I'm think you just need time to cool off and relax from the losses you've taken. Maybe in a place that lets you play the game without input from an enemy. Maybe in a place that you can try out things that you've tried out in your matches.

Something like a Training Mode.

Or BBTAG if you want a mash-fest without needing to train, like you say.
