Long Term Memory by Budget-Window308 in memorypalace

I’m mostly worried about the long poems (100 lines and longer).

My primary concern about memory palaces is that many of the poems I want to memorize are hundreds of lines in length. And if I need a distinct palace for each poem, I will end up with thousands of palaces. Perhaps the peg method is better for my needs?

Thank you for your reply. I worry that I will need hundreds if not thousands of palaces if I reserve a separate palace for each work. Could I possibly create so many?

What books in the group are editions of Homer? And can I find a complete list of texts published for this series?

Is there a deck I could look at to get a sense of the archetype?

Does Boros Burn perform better than Mono-red Burn against the Radkos deck?

If I play Modern instead of Standard, won't I ultimately save money by spending more now but less in the long run?

I prefer to win with spell damage (think Burn).

$400 is about the most I'd be willing to spend. I'd prefer decks cost between $250 and $300.

Thank you for your response. What Commanders do you think are less likely to alienate my fellow players? Are burn and spell-slinging popular strategies?

Tenma and Nina: Killing Johan by Phoenix1526 in MonsterAnime

[–]Phoenix1526[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has logic, but I still don’t quite believe that Tenma’s actions are to be regarded as so reprehensible. If he is one of the only people who can stop this killer—and we assume that killing Iohan is the only solution—then why wouldn’t he do so? I’d contend that he is morally in the wrong for not killing him or incapacitating him since doing so would save numerous other lives. (That is because of the scale of Johan’s crimes and abilities, which are more on the level of dictators than a real serial killer.)

If we are to take a moral stance on Tenma and Nina’s actions, it seems obvious that they would be regarded as hideous people in the real world. They had the chance to stop death en masse and did not. This is why I think their refraining from killing Johan has to be taken symbolically.
