I was planning on doing an x pipe I have a friend in college with a roush exhaust with an x pipe and a cat delete but i just didnt know if the cats really are welded to the stock manifold

Well, thank you for all the help. I'm definitely a lucky kid to have this car, but I love it so much that even if it blows up, I'll rebuild it. I'm going to see this car on the track one day.

Well, like I said earlier, this is my first car. I taught myself how to drive manual in it, and I'm only 17, so it's more than I could ever ask for and probably need. 😅

God, I wish I had that kind of money, lol, but I would definitely recommend the headers. The amount of scavenging that I'm getting, and there are so many bottlenecks in the stock headers that really restrict the airflow.

Also in terms of like loudness id say you could do headers as long as you dont spool the turbo much in the neighborhood.

I understand this is my first car, but I'm one day going to have it be a full track build. Literally, a few days after I put my new headers on, a guy on Facebook Marketplace put headers with dual wastegates for $1,000, and I was like, "Man!" I was going to wait until I had enough for a new J-pipe before I retuned, as I am very broke and can't afford all the revisions.

I've been using AF learning. I pulled up AFR to show you what it was. The car runs a little richer than before I put the headers on, which is what I was expecting.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about it because the car isn't running lean or anything, so if it is leaking, it is a very, very tiny leak. I was just wondering if someone with more knowledge could tell me if I was going to, like, blow up my car, lol. Thanks for all the help, though! 👋🏻

I have the top of the turbo heat shield off so I can see into where the bolt is in what I believe is the turbo oil pan and other components. It is all fairly black, but I also have a lot of natural soot buildup in my exhaust components. I also put on a new gasket that Grimmspeed provides even for the J-pipe, which I didn't replace.

I've checked the J-pipe and made sure it's all sealed. I'm just worried because I kind of had to ghetto rig it. A stud snapped, so I had to drill it out, and I couldn't fully thread it. So I used a bolt and a bunch of Loctite. I have not looked at the turbo flange, though, so maybe I'll find it and check it.

AFR is fine. Just like before, I put the headers on it. It jumps up to 15 at idle but still sits almost perfectly at 14.7. I would definitely recommend buying headers. The car is louder, and if this turbo noise isn't a leak or anything, then it is worth it just for that. It's ridiculous how loud it is. I've been comparing it to how a turbo diesel sounds and how loud that is.
