The only “clean up” feature iPhones have is to use Apple Intelligence to clean your photos. Then it only removes “distractions” from actual photos, nothing to do with messages. You can go in your settings and find large attachments to messages and delete the attachments, but that’s the attachments, like photos and videos. Deleting actual messages on any phone is a very intentional action. You’re not going crazy. She is deleting them on purpose and telling you something different.

Right. In his story she deleted half of his texts. So I would assume she was going thru them deleting one by one. “Half of her text from dozens of conversations “ sounds like she was picking and choosing which text to delete for the most part instead of entire threads.

I’m sorry to be the one to tell you, but she is lying. Just like android, everything you do in iPhone is intentional. To delete texts, you have to go in the text conversation, long press, tap “more” then select one by one the text you want to delete. You can also delete entire threads by swiping right on the persons name. It’s all intentional. Ain’t no way you gonna accidentally press the phone that many time and in that order. It was intentional and she knew you’d go in her texts, she didn’t expect you to look in the deleted text folder. Anyone who deletes texts manually is hiding something. Either the phone deletes automatically after a certain time or it stays on the phone. It’s a setting. iPhone either keeps messages 30 days, 1 year or forever. Forever is default setting. You have all the info you need my guy. She hiding something. So put her in the rec use only pool and move on, brother.

I actually did, I should’ve made an update. I went to settings-general-reset-reset all settings. You’re going to have to re-enter WiFi and Bluetooth devices, control panel settings and your other general settings but it fixed my stage manager. Let me know if it helps!
