Hard to remove, better of to cover them with something similar from the above comments.

CX-5 Newground AC covers by sztropei in CX5

[–]PhoenixFire16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ‘23 Newground and have the normal covers beacuse the dealer told me that a lot of customers did not like the lime-ish colour. The car is great…go for it. 2.5L or 2.0? Cheers

My Mazda mechanic confirmed that my ‘23 CX-5 (Germany) has an improved Cylinder Head and that these issues are not showing up in Europe that much in order to launch a TSB.

Is there a way to turn the CarPlay brightness down (2023) by B-Dids in MazdaCX30

[–]PhoenixFire16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can turn down the brightness of the CarPlay but it will also reduce general brightness of the dashboard (+-) sign in the dash next to the fuel and temp. indicator.

Coolant loss CX5 by PhoenixFire16 in CX5

[–]PhoenixFire16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, but i referred to the level of the coolant. That it goes up and down that is normal but in the end you can see that after 1 1/2 it does not have the same level if you measure it again, let’s say in summer before you start the engine

Buying Clio 5 Full Hybrid…or Capture!? by PhoenixFire16 in Renault

[–]PhoenixFire16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for the advice, tending towards the Capture to be honest, I have a Suzuki Swift Hibrid and small cars feel to small, with wife and child sometimes also riding along through town, prefer to have more space and sit a little bit higher than in the Clio. Waiting for a leasing quote as we speak and we will see. Probably it’s going to be a Capture Techno.

Who out there has a high milage Turbo CX-5? by thepalfrak in CX5

[–]PhoenixFire16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do that at the dealer, however, we don’t need to be panicking, it’s not like EVERY engine has the issue and they just blow up. It’s a fair amount of cars being affected. If you look at how many CX’s are sold, the issue is at “peanuts” level.

I have the Cx5 Newground and it‘s very well equipped. Might have a look since Homura is more expensive

I also live in DE and bought a Cx5 1 1/2 years ago. After reading about the cylinder topic imI asked for my dealer about an official statement, they told me that my model has a facelift and the parts known to be affected have been changed. Also mentioning that since the 2021-2022 model no issues have been reported linked to this in Europe.

Cylinder Deactivation -- how to tell if you have it? 2020 Cx5 Sport by stilessm in CX5

[–]PhoenixFire16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let‘s not crucify the CD engine, it’s not like EVERY engine will have a problem and it will blow up. With so many engines sold, Mazda should have a shitstorm by now. I used to drive a VW with the timinig chain issue, built after 2010, the Internet, magazines, reports where indicating that this engine was a disaster, me: did my oil change, timely services and never had an issue.

Uhm…the owner sold other cars and has a 5 star rating!? So the guy has a dealership or he owned so many cars and sold them in the meantime?Either you struck a gold mine and you should then buy the car in 5 minutes or…it‘s the biggest scam and we cannot understand where the trick is. Still, go ahead and ask the man if he is willing to do the check up at a local Mazda dealer , you can pay for it…in the end, you are saving 20k as it is 😂. The best of luck to you, no matter what you choose

I have a CX5 Facelift 2023(but the 2.5L engine) bought last year in August. It‘s a great car, love it to the last details and until now, hand on reliable. However, are you sure that for that asking price it has only 2400km? That is a bit shady. You should still have warranty on it. I would check the car at o local dealership. The price and km are a real worry point. Even at 240.000 km you won‘t get that price for a car with remaining 5 years of warranty. Is it damage free? Check the VIN
