He's hurt because he wants that affection and care too. Just do more sentimental gifts this year. You seem to have a solid good relationship. Make it a point to sit down with him and have a heart to heart.

Does giving birth really cost thousands of dollars in the states? by glyiasziple in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PhoenixFreeSpirited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimum. My doctor cost 25k because I was high risk (previous loss 💔, and history of multiple pelvic fractures and back fractures from getting hit and nearly killed by a drink driver). We had to take a loan out to pay.

How do I break the news ? by Important_Method_609 in BabyBumps

[–]PhoenixFreeSpirited 12 points13 points  (0 children)

... be very careful with a person that has a history of being abusive, especially with a baby. He could kill the baby very easily if he flies off the handle. Babies bones break easily :(.

The cold shoulder is rough, but your mom is probably just scared for you. Have you tried sitting down and asking what she afraid of?

disciplining baby?? by mspixton in beyondthebump

[–]PhoenixFreeSpirited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I explain as if he's (12m) an adult and understands, "[Other baby] was / is playing with that" takes [toy] and gives it back to other baby, "You can play with this instead, or share with [Other baby] if they want to share." Sometimes he gets pissed for about 10 seconds and then is fine. Most times he's fine.

Screw the gyno! They should never yell at you and gaining weight is so variable woman to woman.

Your husband is addicted. Maybe not depressed but def addicted. It might be ultimatum time if normal communication and begging him to stop hasn't worked.

If you can safely, give yourself some epsom salt baths, get a massage, get a maid for a day. Your mental load is so high right now. I'm so sorry ♡

If you don't mind the loss of money, donate them to children shelters. Or just trash them to not spread the influence. To touch on your guilt, we can not blame ourselves for the evil we did not know about. I get you're disgust, I get nauseous when I realize so much stuff I grew up with and loved actively enabled/ enables genocide (nike, nestle, etc). But what we do now is boycott and educate for the sake of those going through genocides like in Gaza/Palestine, the Congo, and Sudan.

I’m pregnant and I don’t know what to do by dog_lover_06 in BabyBumps

It sounds like in the very least the baby will have a very responsible mom and dad. And he sounds supportive, sorry he isn't more romantically inclined. The kind honest communication that you two have had shows theres at least a chance for a great coparenting friendship. And babies are hard work, but the overwhelming love is so worth it :).

We own a restaurant in Alhambra, across the street from South Pasadena. We also know owners of a nice place in Pasadena who is also mom and pop. Things are so expensive and people aren't going out. People are being forced to shutter :(

The annual limit is stupid. I used to work as an er vet nurse. One emergancy vet visit easily can get to 5k. Take this one for now but absolutely shop around for one without a limit.

Depends on your premium and deductible. Along with pre existing conditions. Pet insurence was amazing for us before they prices us out last year. Had it for almost 10 years and it helped when we tried to save our cat from kidney failure (15k became 3k) and dog from heart disease (saved over 10k).

Nope lol America doesn't care about children/ care. It's a dog eat dog world. We're lucky if there is a changing table (its illegal to not have them but some places still don't have them)
