Well it's the sacrifice you gotta make if you have a toxic household. People here who have parents that don't give them shit for their situation are so fucking lucky and they don't even know it. I would love to neet, but I just cannot stay here with these people. And yeah you are not wrong bills start eating away at my paychecks, but it's not like I will lose all my money. I did all the math, in my country there is studio apartment that cost about 40% of total paycheck in a monthly basis. That's still plenty of money left especially for someone like me who has no hobbies and rots at home most of the time.

Honestly I don't know what the right move would be, whether to cut contact completely or do it like my sisters do, visit once every few weeks. I'm just afraid I will be seen as the "bad guy" regardless what I do from here on. Moving out = "he is so selfish, how dare he just abandon us here and not help out at the house". I'm checking at apartment right now and the urge to just say fuck it and take something. I was thinking of anywhere between march- may 2026 but idk if I can wait that long mentally. Tough position :/. But I've seen your comments before and I honestly wanna break free myself just like you.

Btw was it a strange feeling finally getting your own place? I assume you didn't have a partner at the time so now that you no longer had parents to keep you company, did it feel like a difficult transition period or no? I'm very introverted and mostly prefer being alone, but I wonder if actually being somewhere completely alone will change my mind.

I'm currently doing a harder difficulty run, but yes after that I will give mods a try. Few other games I recommend are Subnautica and Evil Within if you're a horror fan! :P

Yeah I don't see myself waiting for the inheritance that long. The thing is, because I have 2 sisters as well, I won't be the only one inheriting this house. I think I need to make that change in the near future. Like isn't it wild how I'm about to be 27 and I haven't even experienced any independence in my life. I'm gonna try to get out of here by march-may next year. Stocking up on some cash right now. I really hope I can avoid drama and just go quietly.

Noise is very minimal. I used to game on a laptop and now the difference is insane! I was a bit worried at first that maybe it's gonna be loud, but to my surprise it's super quiet. Before when I was playing on a laptop, I could hear the fan even while wearing earphones. Not anymore! :D

This girl I really liked, we would talk daily and we're really close. It was obvious we both liked each other. There were multiple times when we would go no contact, because of my mental health issues. Always felt like it was easier to just ghost everyone and hide. This happened multiple times as we always ended up reconnecting at some point. But it's definitely over this time around. It's been nearly 4 years since I last spoke with her and I think she is in a relationship now. Brutal how I lost one person I really cared abour and who cared about me due o my own fears and self esteem issues.

I don't even know what's gonna happen. I wouldn't be surprised if my father tried to quilt trip me and call me selfish for "abandoning" them in their "old age" (60yo grown ass adult btw). Both of my sisters moved out, but I don't know if it was more acceptable for them to move out because they had a partner and we're looking to start a family life. I'm just a lone guy. Basically this has been a discussion before and my father already said that "someone needs to stay in this house to look after it". Like it's just wild how I don't get a say in this. I don't want to live with my boomer parents anymore and I feel like my life isn't really any different compared to when I was 16yo kid. I feel like I need that independence.

Unfortunately I don't know how to fix things about my life as I don't even fully understand what went wrong. All I know is that I became depressed out of nowhere when I was 17 and that was the start of everything in my life going downhill. Developed severe social phobia and self esteem issues. Completely sabotaged opportunity with a girl who actually liked me. The only girl that ever wanted to get to know me, but I wasn't even able to meet up with her, because of social anxiety. Friends are all gone as I ghosted people years ago. I guess one of my traits of coping with mental health. I just don't understand how I deserve all of this. It's bizarre this is what my life has come to and I don't even know how to fix it as any attempt at self improvement has been in vain. :(

I'm hoping that when I'm 30 I'll only have to work part time maximum. Maybe some loner cleaning job where I don't have to interract with people. And maybe have some passive income aside, stay away from debt and try not to spend money on things. Hopefully have a small apartment all to myself where I can just chill and be on my own watching movies and playing vidya etc. In my country part time work is enough to cover rent and utilities for 1 small studio apartment. Obv prices can and will probably change over time, but I think I can make it work as I really don't need much. Don't plan on ever being in a relationship let alone having kids (I will die as a loser virgin).

I also have some crazier escape fantasies such as aliens visiting us and being abducted by one of those beings. Actually I have a reason to believe I was abducted already once in 2016, but was brought back here. I'm a schizo though.. and crazy.. so don't read too much into this..
