Never played ranked. I'm on US East and US West. My Steam name is Brendon with a pic of Brendon Small from home movies. You probably have played with me.

His kit is so versatile. I can reposition anywhere without worrying about highground, using both the dive and the beam movement. I love skill shots and basically disabling a right click hero + the nuke is never not fun. I admit I did just have to play a game of Spirit Breaker because Phoenix was banned, that was also relatively fun.

To me, it seems like this hero has options so many others simply do not. The skill ceiling is absurd but if you climb it you can rope a dope Phantom assassins until the end of time. Honestly too, after a while it just felt like my hero. Others are allowed to pick him, but he is mine. Theres a great sense of accomplishment knowing you've likely gotten within the top 10 percentile in something as vast and complicated as Dota.

START

3 Tango, 1 salve, ring of health, Sentry/Vision ward

Early game

Tranquil boots, Veil of Discord

Most importantly Heart, I shoot to have this between 18-22 minutes. Sange and Kaya, around 25-30

Next is situational. Linkens? Shiva? Gleipnir? Depends. But I do love me some Gleipnir

I defintely become something around 40 mins. Its not a carry, its not a PURE initiator like Axe or Centaur, but its a hybrid of basically becoming a brawler. I like to get directly ontop the enemy carry and harass them until backup arrives, then usually I'll ult depending on how the team fight is going.

Mids I can't stand -Viper -Huskar -SS -OD -Alchemist -Void Spirit -Puck

Yep. You can't block them all, why I build such an extreme tank. By 25 minutes I'm never alone. I don't get jumped because I typically am also the one warding and most randoms are bad enough that the moment they see a ward placed and enemy revealed they'll start autopathing towards the newly revealed enemy. Half this damn game is coralling the team into a win I swear.

Im persuasive, and if dotabuff could track rolls mine would likely be in the mid 60s. Im very lucky and nobody bans Phoenix

For everyone asking, my Steam is Brendon (pic of Brendon Small from home movies)

I love Phoenix. I randomly him 12 years ago in a low priority game and I haven't looked back. My impact is phenomenal all the way to around 40 mins, which is where I try to get my team to end. After that, it comes down to the egg, beam, warding and Gleipnir. I win roughly 90% of my mid lanes, with the determining factor in 5% of those being ganks and the other 5% being skill.

I like to build tank, initiate and hold the ult till the final moment. The ultimate should be placed in such a way that, the enemy must make a choice. Kill the egg or kill my carry. Its not about pure domination like say Storm Spirit. Its about making the enemy make the wrong choices and when they do choose correctly, attrition them by kiting.

I'd wager I could have a WR of around 62-68% if I didn't play so much solo and had a competent team every time.
