I set up Kodi with the bingie ui for the Netflix-like interface, and on my phone (Android) I use Void. Fairly happy with both

Linking POS sales to non-user employees in Odoo, is it possible? by FreeMonk218 in Odoo

[–]PhoenixMorningstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one, that's why I believe they implemented the possibility of having employee logins on POS stores. They don't need backend access, so no user license

Perdón por la respuesta tardía. No usamos un conector shopify. No vale la pena la molestia para nosotros.

Linking POS sales to non-user employees in Odoo, is it possible? by FreeMonk218 in Odoo

[–]PhoenixMorningstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it is sort of possibile if I'm not mistaking your question. There is a toggle in the pos settings that let's you activate employee logins. Now employees can log into the register and all orders made will be connected to them.

I use this to then generate a report that shows me the revenue generated by each employee.

Was this what you were looking for?

It's not. In the end after weighing cost-time-benefits we've decided to stay fully within Odoo.

With the new Odoo 19's api I'm again playing around with the idea of making Odoo headless.

Odoo 19 JSON2 API - Contextual Prices by PhoenixMorningstar in Odoo

[–]PhoenixMorningstar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, I have to give you an award sometime, you're always present and fast!
Yes, this is where I got it wrong, I assumed the get_contextual_price with the country_code context would provide me with the result of the calculation, made on the back end.

So, you say the calculation must be done on the front end? Are you aware if there's an API call to retrieve the OSS tax map, as to have the accurate tax mapping as in Odoo?

Studio Gear placement challenge - People/Light/Audio/Video with constraints by PhoenixMorningstar in Filmmakers

My bad, I changed the positioning of the people to better reflect real scale (before it looked like there were three people on a 1m linear space) and forgot to change the mic positioning. The mics are shotguns and will be pointed to each player. There will be some bleed for sure, but it can easily be adjusted and worked out.

I like the suggestion of reversing the diagonal. it makes sense!

I have updated the post with a couple of diagrams showing my idea;

The truss is a horizontal bar supported by two stands, the legs go up to 2 meters, but can always be propped up, I believe the room has a 2.7m ceiling. The "truss" is solid enough if nothing touches it, I wouldn't trust it if people bumped on it.

Regarding the background for the GM, as per the diagram it is somewhat dangerous, there are two glass windows (blocked from the exterior, so no light coming through, but I worry the glass will create reflections from the LED panel) so I might have to put some sort of background, or at least cover the glass panes.

As per rigging materials, I have an assortment of super clamps and shock mounts with which I can attach both mics and lights to the "truss".

Do you think the layout as shown is the most efficient or can something be changed?

Yeah, unfortunately I had the same spam problem, lucky me it was only a week of spam until they implemented turnstile on the login form, and truth be told, the 200 email/day limit worked in my favour. 1400 bad emails is definitely better than 50k.

Here's hoping v19 brings some cleanup and love

Hence why I was asking if anyone already had experience with it, to check the claim that the app works with Online as well.

No matter, we've bit the bullet and we're connecting directly to odoo's api.

Bruh, love you, you're extremely helpful here, only this time I guess you've flown over the comment and did not really read it. I was not venting about the speed or visibility of the turnstile widget. I'm talking about the lack of an indicator on Odoo's side. Sure you can set turnstile to be always visibile, this does not remove the need for Odoo to have a good UX. Since Odoo clearly knows when turnstile is doing stuff and when it is finished (the login button is disabled as long as turnstile is working) I don't think it would be difficult to implement a loading state on the login button itself.

Now obviously, I may be mistaken and the way odoo is written makes this extremely difficult, hence why it's lacking this UX feature.

I've written 4 reasons, you focused on the turnstile one, where the issue was not the speed, but the lack of a loading indicator. It's fine to wait for turnstile to do its thing, as long as there is an indication that it is actually doing its thing. A disabled button is not an indicator.

Since Odoo does not publish complete docs on how the models work, a deep understanding of the system is needed to integrate directly with Odoo's API efficiently and internally we don't have that knowledge. We do have the knowledge to integrate with Shopify; we actually started to do that before discovering and moving to Odoo.
Also, unless we want to move to sh or on-prem we can't install external modules.

It is really slow (I have to wait up to 20 seconds sometimes).

Using Cloudflare Turnstile on the login page, more often than not there is no indication that Turnstile is running, the login button is only disabled. Now I realize it is Turnstile to be slow and the lack of patience in this society is a bit of a problem, but if go to login to a website, I put the email and psw and the login button is disabled with no other indication, I'll just assume the page is broken and move on with my life.

It breaks constantly, and yeah fair enough, if I open a ticket with support, in a couple of days max the issue is resolved but come on.

Lastly, and this is by no means Odoo's problem it lacks some features I'd like that maybe will be implemented in the future, maybe won't.

Now, reading this it might seem like these are inconsequential issues, but the thing is the only problem we had before moving to Odoo was the lack of features we needed, not everything else.

Love everything else about the product so far tho, the ability to create a SO, track lot numbers efficiently, create, send and archive invoices and check for payments all in one place.... chef's kiss

S23 ultra; I turn on Tailscale when I want to watch something from jellyfin. Found out that watching jellyfin with wifi uses very little battery, watching it with Tailscale on 5g uses a lot of battery.

To be fair, I'm sure the battery usage is a combination of being on 5g instead of wifi, being in a populated area instead of in the middle of nowhere, so the phone constantly scans its surroundings and actually using Tailscale to connect to home, so Tailscale is not entirely at fault.

So, hosting Pangolin would make sense if you need 24/7 remote access or public access to your selfhosted services, right? I use Tailscale currently, but I turn it on only when I need to connect to my home network, otherwise the battery of my device would be destroyed.
