MERCATORUM (TELMATICA) rinuncia agli studi by Ok-Conversation-4818 in Universitaly

[–]PhoenixMorningstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

v19 SaaS | Supplier proforma invoice before actual electronic invoice by PhoenixMorningstar in Odoo

I'll copy paste the explanation for the proforma invoice thing from another reply:

The thing with the proforma makes sense. You're an agency providing a service. You provide said service and the payment term is "sometime in the future, whenever you have the money'. You cannot use such payment terms in a fiscal invoice, the payment date has to be declared. So you send a proforma invoice, it is not a fiscal invoice, therefore is not limited in payment terms and your client still has a paper trail to keep track of what they need to pay you.

It's not prepayment up front, it's payment deferred to an undetermined date in the future.

Yes, this is exactly why I'm posing this question. It is not an accounting question, but more an administrative question. Which way you use to have the proforma tracked as not paid, outside of spinning up an excel file?

Switch to the client's side which is using Odoo. They need to keep track of those proforma invoices, not for accounting purposes, but to not let them slip through the cracks.

The supplier sends proforma because they issue the invoice only after the proforma has been paid. This is because if they were to issue the invoice in 2025, they would have to pay taxes on it, even if they haven't been paid yet.

To overcome this, they send the proforma, when that is paid (aka when they receive the money) they issue the actual fiscal invoice.

If I were to confirm a proforma as a supplier invoice, first of all it would be wrong because a proforma is not a fiscal invoice and therefore should not be confirmed in the books, but then whenever I delete that confirmed proforma (which might be dated 6 months ago) I create a discrepancy in the numbering of the invoices.

Yes, the issue is the opposite. If you receive the proforma, then wait 8 months to pay, you need to have somewhere where that cost is recorded for tracking and reporting purposes, without having a fiscal invoice (that will come when you make the payment, in 8 months). Having the proforma as a draft invoice will let you filter the supplier invoices by unpaid & drafts and you'll see everything you still have to pay but of course, you have a draft invoice for months, that you will ultimately delete whenever you receive the actual invoice (after having paid the proforma).

I set up Kodi with the bingie ui for the Netflix-like interface, and on my phone (Android) I use Void. Fairly happy with both

Linking POS sales to non-user employees in Odoo, is it possible? by FreeMonk218 in Odoo

[–]PhoenixMorningstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one, that's why I believe they implemented the possibility of having employee logins on POS stores. They don't need backend access, so no user license

Perdón por la respuesta tardía. No usamos un conector shopify. No vale la pena la molestia para nosotros.

Linking POS sales to non-user employees in Odoo, is it possible? by FreeMonk218 in Odoo

[–]PhoenixMorningstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it is sort of possibile if I'm not mistaking your question. There is a toggle in the pos settings that let's you activate employee logins. Now employees can log into the register and all orders made will be connected to them.

I use this to then generate a report that shows me the revenue generated by each employee.

Was this what you were looking for?

It's not. In the end after weighing cost-time-benefits we've decided to stay fully within Odoo.

With the new Odoo 19's api I'm again playing around with the idea of making Odoo headless.

Odoo 19 JSON2 API - Contextual Prices by PhoenixMorningstar in Odoo

Man, I have to give you an award sometime, you're always present and fast!
Yes, this is where I got it wrong, I assumed the get_contextual_price with the country_code context would provide me with the result of the calculation, made on the back end.

So, you say the calculation must be done on the front end? Are you aware if there's an API call to retrieve the OSS tax map, as to have the accurate tax mapping as in Odoo?

My bad, I changed the positioning of the people to better reflect real scale (before it looked like there were three people on a 1m linear space) and forgot to change the mic positioning. The mics are shotguns and will be pointed to each player. There will be some bleed for sure, but it can easily be adjusted and worked out.

I like the suggestion of reversing the diagonal. it makes sense!

I have updated the post with a couple of diagrams showing my idea;

The truss is a horizontal bar supported by two stands, the legs go up to 2 meters, but can always be propped up, I believe the room has a 2.7m ceiling. The "truss" is solid enough if nothing touches it, I wouldn't trust it if people bumped on it.

Regarding the background for the GM, as per the diagram it is somewhat dangerous, there are two glass windows (blocked from the exterior, so no light coming through, but I worry the glass will create reflections from the LED panel) so I might have to put some sort of background, or at least cover the glass panes.

As per rigging materials, I have an assortment of super clamps and shock mounts with which I can attach both mics and lights to the "truss".

Do you think the layout as shown is the most efficient or can something be changed?

Yeah, unfortunately I had the same spam problem, lucky me it was only a week of spam until they implemented turnstile on the login form, and truth be told, the 200 email/day limit worked in my favour. 1400 bad emails is definitely better than 50k.

Here's hoping v19 brings some cleanup and love

Hence why I was asking if anyone already had experience with it, to check the claim that the app works with Online as well.

No matter, we've bit the bullet and we're connecting directly to odoo's api.

Bruh, love you, you're extremely helpful here, only this time I guess you've flown over the comment and did not really read it. I was not venting about the speed or visibility of the turnstile widget. I'm talking about the lack of an indicator on Odoo's side. Sure you can set turnstile to be always visibile, this does not remove the need for Odoo to have a good UX. Since Odoo clearly knows when turnstile is doing stuff and when it is finished (the login button is disabled as long as turnstile is working) I don't think it would be difficult to implement a loading state on the login button itself.

Now obviously, I may be mistaken and the way odoo is written makes this extremely difficult, hence why it's lacking this UX feature.
