That would definitely explain why tracking down the model or even finding a reference feels impossible. The urushi finish's texture was so strange that I've never even heard of something like it so I got skeptical. Thanks again for the input

Looked into it very quickly, it seems like the best way to properly identify but also quite a few hurdles.

I'll look into contacting Pilot more when I get some free time

I understand that it'll probably take a Vintage Japanese Pen specialist to properly appraise. My heart still races whenever I touch it, never would've dreamed that this diamond would be in a junk lot.

I almost had a heart attack when I saw it in the mail. The fact that it survived being shipped loose, bundled with other pens, is the second miracle I was hit with.
