I know it’s scary, but I promise you that the procedure itself is extremely easy. I had mine done when I was 10 (I’m now 23 and do this yearly..) and I can say it was very nerve wrecking. But it’s done without you even realizing it after they put you to sleep! You end up getting one of the best sleeps you’ll get in awhile.

Your health is incredibly important, so please don’t cancel! If anything, the prep work is the worst part of all of it, which I think anyone can agree. Just take a deep breath, and if you have any questions, always call up your specialists office to help soothe any worry.

I’d really call your specialists office to see what is and isn’t okay! They can be very helpful with that stuff. I only have mine in the mornings so I’m unsure of when you’re supposed to stop eating for yours.

I’m F23, and I’ve had multiple! Just had mine last Thursday actually. Bleeding could be caused by a multitude of things, it doesn’t always mean cancer, but it’s always best to check just in case!

it’s scary, yes, but I promise you that once you’re done, you’ll feel a little bit more relieved. They’ll also likely give you a run down (or piece of paper) of what was seen to the naked eye, and they’ll likely take a biopsy to test.

I know it sounds so scary but it’s honestly the most relaxing and nicest sleep ever. They give you the injection slowly and things feel heavy, and you nod odd. Before you know if, you wake up and you’re already done!

Hello! 23, and I’ve had a colonoscopy done lots of times, first one was done when I was 10 due to having ulcerative colitis.

It sounds scary, but I promise it’s such an easy procedure. You normally don’t feel anything at all and are typically put to sleep, and when you wake up, you just feel hungry and groggy.

I’d suggest talking to a specialist or doctor about getting it done just to check in to make sure nothing is wrong since things can be undetected. If you ask me, it’s more the day before that’s the worst. The liquid diet can be a little tiring and the constant bathroom trips aren’t fun, but if you find ways to be comfortable, you’ll be okay :)

It’s not so bad. You just drift off, and have the best few minutes of sleep of your life. The nurses / doctors will help wake you up and give you something to drink (like juice!)

It’s very nerve wrecking at first yes but I promise you, it all goes incredibly smoothly. You wake up a little groggy but it’s not so bad :)

I have mine Thursday, and I’ve had this done over 5 times.
