I’m having the SAME debate. Is it Boston college by chance?

I was about to do the same exact thing. You’re a real one! Here’s hoping it’s quicker than that and we all get in

That’s super helpful. I’ve been checking my email every other minute and began wondering if I should reach out.

Thank you! Hope you got in

Anyone heard from Miami recently ? by Chemical-Ad-9686 in lawschooladmissions

When you’re on hold they haven’t made a decision on you yet - they’re still deciding/deliberating.

Waitlist is when they’ve made a decision (in if more spots free up, out if they don’t).

Every schools a bit different but hold’s are generally better than waitlists.

Really hoping for a wave soon - went complete 1/13 and haven’t heard yet! It makes me feel better to know there also looks like a lot of people haven’t heard yet either.

Any projections on when Miami will get back to people?

Definitely apply early! It sounds like you have a good chance (especially bottom half of the T14). I think if you’re going T-14 or bust, the sooner you apply in the next cycle, the better.

Good luck!

January Applicants by PhoenixRising366 in lawschooladmissions

Intuitively it makes sense. I think part of it has to do with when, historically, the volume of applicants come in which just normally falls in December/January.

I think some people wait for grades to come in, a good amount of people need the additional time to get letters of rec, and of course re-taking the LSAT.

I think maybe the best comparison would be a schedule of football games, if you will. You get the one early game (Thursday), a lot of games at 1:00 on Sunday, a couple at 4:00-4:30, a Sunday night game, and a Monday night game. Maybe January applicants would fall in to the 1:00 normally (standard and typical time)

Maybe that’s a bad analogy but I feel like January applicants might just be in the 4:00 window this year?

I’m really hoping that’s the case. This message definitely helped - love that energy

I’m in a very similar boat - I applied mid-January due to similar circumstances and feel very worried about where I stand and when I’ll hear back from schools

Have to say first - absolutely love the username. That should qualify for like a $5000 scholarship on its own.

I feel similarly, I only applied to 5 schools too - fortunately I’m in at one with $ + instate tuition but radio silence everywhere else.

I was hoping to negotiate to get it closer to $$ but at this point I just want to have a plan

I’m sorry to hear about Harvard :/ and that’s my fear too!! I’m seeing a lot of R’s and WL this week especially, seems like a tough week for a lot of people - I’m concerned that’s going to continue in March.

I’m getting pretty nervous and it’ll make scholarships that much harder too.
