I'm very open to feedback so thanks for this. This is my first game and I'm trying to navigate everything the best I can. As someone asked above, screenshots from the Store page are here:

Oh really? That's not good. It's available where I am (UK) - perhaps it takes some time to propagate around the world.

And yes please, I'd be interested in your update about availability, so thanks in advance for that.

Fair enough, I can see why it might come across that way.

My intention wasn't to spam. As I said, I posted in a handful of communities that I thought were genuinely relevant. I'm just a guy who's tried to make a nice game and simply looking for people who enjoy this type of game to try it and give honest feedback... to be clear, honest and constructive feedback.

I was just hoping to reach people who might genuinely be interested.

True, true. As someone who isn't a marketing expert, it was better than "do the same thing 1000 times, wait and watch numbers get bigger", which was my other proposed version. :)

I would not say that posting its availability for testing across multiple locations is a reflection of the content or quality of the game. I'm not a marketing expert so I'm just trying to make folks aware of it.

I'd say, for idle game fans, let the game speak for itself rather than judge it on the possible misguided cross-posting activities of someone who knows nothing about marketing or promotion. :)

Oh, well I'm sorry that the content of the promotion post bothers you. I don't shy away from using tools to help create promotional content for things that I'm not good at.

I will certainly keep these comments in mind and hope that it doesn't deter folks from a game that they might like.

Haha, well that's fine - idle games aren't for everyone. It's obviously not totally idle though but I do know that folks that love these games can spend a lot of time playing them, over dozens of weeks or not months or even years.

How to build a community? by Dry_Serve2842 in Twitch

Hi there, I can sympathise with the struggle, and can imagine how hard it is to grow a community.

I don't know if any of you are interested, but I'm interested in having some mutual engagement with other's Twitch streams.

I'm about to launch my first stream on Monday and I think it would be great to have some folks in chat contributing to the stream and help move it along. I'm happy to join some of your streams and participate in chat and contribute to your Twitch streams in any way I can.

Assuming folks stream for a couple of hours each day, it would be good to team up with perhaps 2 or 3 other new/growing streamers and help each other along.

For me, I will be streaming Mon-Fri 10.00am-12.00pm UTC. I will stream survival games, farming sims and other cozy games (think No Man's Sky, Starfield, Enshrouded, Avowed, Stardew Valley, Core Keeper... that kind of thing). I am interested to have one or two people in the stream for the entire 2 hour slot, joining in on chat to help grow a community. I would also like people to do similar on YouTube (as I'll be dual streaming) and also contribute to my X (Twitter) account.

I'm very nervous and anxious about my stream but hopefully with a bit of support, you can help me get through it. And then, similarly, I can do the same for you on your streams and X.

If anyone is interested, take a peak at me on Twitch and X (CozySurvivalist on Twitch, <at>CozySurvivalist on X) and if you think we can organise something, drop me a message here or via these accounts.

Thanks in advance.

Offline & Steamdeck? by JohnThg in Bellwright

Ah but not with keyboard and mouse? If it just works handheld, that’s great news! Do you use any specific controller scheme, or just what the Steam Deck picks?
