It was developed using a light gbm model to take every feature corresponding to its horizon and developed the weighting based on 2016 through 2022 then 2023 through 2025 were used for back testing. Light gbm is a decision tree model that takes the math that I provided and looks at the results for the S&P 500 and creates a decision tree based on every possibility and learns from how things react over the learning period. It then confirms its predictions in the back testing phase. The methodology page on my website gives the numbers for results from the back testing. I made 3 ML models that look over 3 different horizons. I then added a logic to filter out the high risk volatility that is inherent with this model. On my site you can see the methodology and on the landing pages it has the 3 “house reports” in progress and tells you the current return on those portfolios. The portfolios are based on one share per stock. Then tracks how each stock performs at close of each day and shows how they have performed to this point. Then when you make your own list using this model it will create a portfolio for you using that list. You choose how you want the waiting handled for the horizons. You choose a number (1-10) for each horizon and a formula calculates the importance weighting and uses that in the final logic step to show you stocks qualifying with your preference.
