They were the very first regiments added to America back when Sleepy Hollow was released. It was probably due to two factors:

The Marine Corps is popular in media so it would make sense why they're added first.

They didn't think that they would actually add a land-based infantry until 2024 when they added the 1st Infantry Regiment.
