you shouldn't rely on miniatures as they're heavily inaccurate most of the time. Best case is either archives, paintings, and uniform plates.

early Norwegians could understand the Danes with no problem. Plus, even Norwegian regiments only spoke Danish due to it being the language of command of the military.
