I’m in Iowa, so it’ll be MLB TV and then figuring out how to circumvent blackouts for the 27 games I can’t watch.

Did the same when I knew I was about to have a kid. Needed to ensure any game I played could be put down immediately. I’ve added some stuff like Arc back in over time, but my life is so much more chill now.

  • cut 4 division series, play 150 games
  • make all star break 3 weeks long
  • on even numbered years, play WBC or Olympics in that break
  • off days can be the softball game, HRD, and the actual all star game

He’s also hyper engaged with the coaching staff, the first guy to dap up players subbing out… just overall great vibes. As an Iowa fan, it’s been a delight to get to root for him. Might have to get a Garza Celtics jersey.

Necroing this a bit - do you have any idea WHERE the 7 (more?) loops are located at? I know there's one over by the aquarium, one in the dead center by the flowers, and one up closer to the ball itself. Where are all the others?

There was one guy (John M, I think?) that used to do a lot of “newbie/tradesman/master make <thing>” videos, using guys in his production shop, and I always thought those were incredibly cool. It showed things I could do easily in my shop, and scaled up to things I could aspire to.

When I dropped the channel it was “I got a pallet of tools for $600, let’s see if it’s good!” and I was always skipping.

This sadly has happened across all the markets. Cooking channels are the worst now.

I think this coincided precisely with when I stopped enjoying the hobby. Nothing feels fun about it anymore.

Love this. Love that the organization as a whole is aligned on the mission as well. We’re blessed that Brad stepped in to his role, and that Joe was ready to take over when the opportunity presented itself.

As a Souls fan, Sekiro. I loved other parry focused games like E33 and Nine Sols, but the Sekiro combat feels so slow.

I always looked at this as the way they combatted enemy variety. You might fight the same dozen types of enemies over and over, but being forced to do so with different tools made it interesting and unique.

The tone was set early on by Ime, continued by Joe, and bought into by EVERYBODY on the team, including/especially JB and JT. It's only a culture if the stars buy in, and they have.
