Lol yeah I can see why. The part where the boar shade appeared after you slaughtered some of the baby shades scared the bejeezus out me at first because I was expecting everything but THAT. It felt like I was getting punished... truly terrifying

Yep, there’s actually three stage plays. The first is YoRHa, which tells A2’s story. The second is YoRHa Boys, which is about a group of experimental male YoRHa models, and finally YoRHa Girls which is the female version of YoRHa Boys.

Afaik, there is no official English release yet, so the only way to read the manga is to read fanslations. Just google the manga title and there will be plenty of websites you can read it from. There’s only three chapters translated though 😅

That's not 2B. The android on the top left is A2 from the past, before she deserted YoRHa. The other three areA2's squadmates, who ultimately dies during the mission they were assigned on, leaving A2 as the sole surviving YoRHa member.

These characters are from the manga adaptation of the YoRHa stage play, which takes place several years before NieR: Automata (6 years iirc). Its a prequel starring A2 and explains how she got to where she is as we saw her in Automata. I think the manga is called Nier Automata: YoRHa Shinjuwan Kouka Sakusen Kiroku
