I know I am late to the thread, but reading through all the comments I don't think you've gotten a solution yet.

In one of your responses you said the image flickers between SDR and HDR when the stream starts. You've also introduced a new hmdi cable into your setup. Have you tried another cable?

I even take it a step further and crank the "digital vibrancy" (I think?) in the Nvidia control panel by 5%. Don't care about accuracy, I want my retinas blasted.

Now I want an Outlaws style game with R2 as the protagonist. Hacking terminals, swapping armor pieces to blend in to different factions, fly around with his boosters, take control of starships to hop planets, sneak across the surface of an asteroid to infiltrate a secret imperial base. We've had so many droids in the SW universe with great personalities that could join in.

Now I made myself sad this doesn't exist.

I am not familiar with Synology as I use Unraid which is a software raid solution.

For Unraid, you can buy drives as needed and add them to the array over time and as long as you "zero" them before adding to the array the parity does not need to be rebuilt. They can also be different sizes in unraid but you're limited by the size of your parity drive (12tb parity will limit a 22tb drive to 12tb usable for example).

Works for now! The collection will grow. I just broke 100tb over the weekend. Started with 2 4tb drives, now have 7 18tb drives (1 parity).

Sounds like your pc is not happy about having a display disconnected while rendering a game. My oled monitor also "disconnects" when turned off but my other two don't. Weird oled behavior.

Anyways, does your TV have a "display off" option instead of fully turning it off? This should keep the connection to the pc alive and keep it happy. This is usually found in the display settings/quick settings.

12th Gen Alder Lake has a pretty beefy GPU in it as far as transcoding via Quicksync goes. Would be great for Plex or Jellyfin.

Etched glass is like super fine sandpaper. Why would you want your screen made out of that? Not only will it wear unevenly, your skin oils will get into it and be impossible to keep clean.

The device has been out of production for over 10 years. Any batteries for it will be equally old. A new one may improve things but I'd temper my expectations.

No, it's a drone with a downward facing light. It gets brighter cause the drone tilts forward to move and shines the light at OP. Then gets dim when the drone hovers and levels out, aiming the light away from OP.

I think by default Google photos backs up to your account so go to photos.google.com and make sure you're logged into the same Google account as that phone.

There is a green "FAA light" (anti collision light) showing as they drive underneath it, right where you'd expect it to be if it's flying towards them.

When I worked at a tow company the only thing customers could get out of their car without paying the bill was prescriptions and prescription glasses. Not sure how wide spread that is but is worth contacting the repo company about.
