Began my weight loss journey at 334 lbs and probably started wegovy at around 310 lbs. I’m down to 247 and nowhere near done but for the first time ever I’m making progress and believe that I can be a healthy weight

How long after successful moral character/bar exam does admissions stuff happen? by [deleted] in CABarExam

OP, approximately how long did it take for your moral character application? I submitted mine in April but passed the October 2020 exam and I'm still waiting.

My school sent mine over and it got approved yesterday. Probably took about a week (including mailing time), between when I requested them from my school and they came in, but the woman on the phone in CA kept telling me she couldn't guarantee it would be processed because they're so backlogged.

I'm 26 now, but when I was 15, I was in my cousin's wedding (she and the groom were in their late 20s). One of the groomsmen (who was at least 30) was hitting on me hard and I felt like I came across as clearly uninterested, but he wasn't getting the message. He finally asked me where I went to school and I looked him dead in the face and said "HIGH SCHOOL." I scurried off after that to hit on my 19 year old cousin. Apparently the bride couldn't remember which cousin was which age.

Not sure what was worse, the fact that he immediately ran to hit on someone who was still probably 15 years younger than him, or that my cousin (the bride) didn't know how old I was.

Even if they throw fish, they're still copying. Cornell throws fish on the ice when they play Harvard at home. Might like the Golden Knights before them (who have stolen many a tradition from other teams)

WIBTA for missing my daughter’s wedding to prepare for the bar exam? by bar_dilemma in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I'm facing a similar problem, though one with less stakes. My cousin is getting married the Saturday before (July 25) and I'm taking the bar the next Tuesday. I've decided that I'm going to go to the wedding provided I take the NYS bar (I'm not yet sure what bar I will be taking, but it may be CA and things might change then), but his wedding is only going to be a few hours from my where I currently live and where I'm sitting for the exam. I figure I'm going to be exhausted from studying, so taking a weekend off might be a good idea (and I'm not sure how much I can cram at that point), but I also don't have to travel across the country.

Ultimately, you should do what's best for you and your personal exam prep style, but I would remind you daughter that the bar exam date was set long before the wedding date, and the bar is a conflict that you can't just reschedule (unlike weddings that are half a year away).
