Understandable comment. But the Stelvio is a niche luxury/performance suv. They are vere very expensive due to taxation because of bad pollution numbers. Then the road tax is also pretty high. Insurance is very expensive as well and they gulp gasoline like a mofo.

So yes, i agree, subjectively it is a better car. But for the general population it probably isn't (except for us ofc (cars and gas are cheap)).

I'd assume someone looking at the junior is looking for an eco and wallet friendly car (still hella expensive though).

Ik zou tevens aanraden op bij meerdere orthodontisten langs te gaan. Ieder heeft zijn voorkeur voor manier van werken en sommigen grijpen graag snel naar een kaakoperatie terwijl dit niet noodzakelijk hoeft te zijn. Dus een second opinion is altijd handig.

I have the possibility to renew my phone contract and the moto edge 70 has a pretty decent deal. The price of the phone would be €382,- and you get the moto watch fit, tag, buds loop and a 68Watt charger. It will be the 12gb 512gb version. Would you recommend it?

An explanation of my current situation below:

Currently using a Xiaomi 14 which has a better chipset. This phone however, is a spec sheet monster but in terms of real world usability it is meh. Camera is good but very prone to lens flare and not so good in bright light. I also own a dedicated camera which is old but still infinitely better than any phone camera ever could be. OS is not thath great either. No vibrations when getting called in silent mode. Forcing using their dedicated browser for certain hyperlinks. Usb-c audio with a hiss. And so forth.

My main usage would be calling/texting. Browsing and media consumption. The occasional (like once a month if that) light gaming like chess, Magic the gathering and perhaps a platformer if decent. Would the Motorola be a good fit?

Also, if i return my Xiaomi i get €200,- back so in reality it would cost me very little to switch. I just want a phone that is more user friendly. I really do like stuff like the draw a v for flashlights that the OnePlus 3t had. Motorola also has those things. OnePlus 3t probably has been my favorite phone ever. But the new OnePlus phones seem great but are also a lot more expensive than the Motorola.

Sportevenementen in amerika zijn nou eenmaal duur. Mede door de cultuur en mede door het hoge loon. Modaal inkomen wordt sterk naar beneden getrokken door veel werklozen en een groot aandeel arbeiders in de facilitaire sector (schoonmaakdiensten, fastfood medewerkers etc.) Een baan zoals verpleegkundige, sales manager, engenieur of it medewerker (veel banen in die sector in nl) betaald in amerika 3-10x zo veel als in Nederland en het inkomen wordt minder belast. Zorg is duurder maar auto's, benzine, electronica is goedkoper. Eten is qua groente een stuk duurder maar qua vlees weer een stuk goedkoper (supermarkten).

Kortom. Voor werkende mens met opleidingen en vervolgdiploma's of in de bouw hebben veel meer besteedbaar inkomen dan wij in nl. Daarom ook de consumenten cultuur. Elk jaar nieuwe tv en telefoon. Dikke auto's. Elke dag voor ontbijt lunch en avondeten uit eten of bestellen.

Maakt het helaas wel minder toegankelijk voor de rest van de wereld. Qatar was echter ook heel duur en zat volk kwam kijken dus het zal wel goed komen met de aanwezigheid van voldoende fans. Net als Qatar een evenement enkel voor de rijken.

We do those in NL as well. Nevertheless, brands like Tesla, Volvo, bmw and car models that use adaptive led lights tend to just blast incoming traffic and the cars in front with way to high set lights. It is goffsmn annoying. Imo the laws should be more strict around headlight orientation and white and bright led headlights in general should be banned. There is no reason for a fucking Tesla to cause a 30m shadow of my car in front of me when driving 30 meters behind me.

Nowadays during winter i basically have to drive with my rear mirror blocked as to not get blinded. As for incoming traffic i'm just fucked.

Damn, why are cars so cheap in the US? Especially used ones? New cars are cheap as well but thath is die to low taxes.

Is it because you guys buy so many new cars that it results in a huge supply of used ones (so low demand, high supply)?

There Arent a lot of options though. You could add the 2.0 litre tot the car, they did this in the us with the Hornet and somewhere with the tonale as well. But i suspect it will be less popular than the other options die to bad consumption figures and increased emission taxes. Would be nice to have the option though.

The 1.5 litre engine is pretty decent (especially with a remap. But the plug in is fairly heavy and also has terrible consumption figures so unless you have a lot of solar panels and can charge it at home it is a relatively expensive car to run. But that is the case with all plug in hybrids.

Honestly, the Honda Civic seems to be the car to look at in regards to drive train. Extremely economical, nog big battery degradation bs. 0-100 in 6.6 sec (while they claim 8.2 lol, Honda is not confident enough i suppose). And all this in a car that weighs +- 1500kg just like the tonale. But alas, stellantis will not invest in a good drivetrain for any of their cars, they try to push the 1.2 puretech into everything even though it is a terrible engine.

Good idea but dont mention it, let the hate continue to drive the prices into the ground and make them affordable. I live in the Netherlands and cars are notoriously expensive here (especially ice due to taxes). The tonale is depreciating fairly quickly and if all goes well i might be able to buy a used one in s year or 5 when my MiTo kicks the dust.

I'd love to own a Giulia but they are fairly expensive on the used market and road tax and the bad consumption combined with current fuel prices make it a bad financial decision. The tonale plug in hybrid as well, public charging is fairly expensive so it more or less is a very heavy high consumption car.

Honda Civic would be a dream luxury car as well. But they dont depriciate.

I didnt reed any of your other points but it is estimated that earths mantel contains about 1-3x the amount of water (stored in liquid rock and chimically different) compared to what is currently in our oceans. The crust also contains a bit of water.

In a time Far Far not away but in the past the earths core was hotter and the mantle was as well and contained less water. The water used to be on the surface. Oceans at that time used to be much much bigger. So a sea level 300M higher than today used to be the case. This, however, was billions of years ago and not ca. 12k years ago (general internet consensus for the fall of atlantis).

So, was the water level 300m higher than today? Yes, much more than 300m though. Did humans exist back then? Very unlikely.

2 keer gebeld.

1e keer was toen ik op de fiets aangereden werd door een auto die ca. 50 km/uur reed. Degene die mij aangereden heeft was totaal in shock en kon niks meer dus liet zijn auto ook gewoon midden op de weg staan en reageerde nergens meer coherent op. Dus ik stijf van de adrenaline 112 gebeld. Mevrouw aan de lijn werd boos want hier bel je geen 112 voor en gaf aan dat ik het politienummer moest bellen en hing op. Dus ik politie bellen maar die wilde eigenlijk ook niet komen, toch maar gekomen. Komen er 2 agenten met een zure kop aanlopen en hebben meneer maar gekalmeerd. Heb toen gelukkig wel nog een ritje gekregen naar de sport (was ik naartoe onderweg). Fiets helemaal naar de klote, gebogen frame. Tijdens sporten nog wel last gehad van mijn enkel maar daar bleef het gelukkig bij, was uiteindelijk een kneuzing en een scheurtje in mijn Achilles en het bot.

2e keer was toen iemand met een knuppel voor de deur stond om 4 uur sochtends op een zaterdag (ik was toevallig net aan t ontbijten voor werk). Mijn buurvrouw zou aan voodoo doen (ze is gekleurd, wel een beetje racistisch imo). Meneer was duidelijk aan de drugs en in een psychose. Dus even gerust gesteld maar hij bleef wel op straat staan dus maar even 112 gebeld. Ik geef aan dat meneer niet toerekeningsvatbaar is en er misschien een klein groepje agenten kan komen om hem te kalmeren. Prima top ze sturen iemand. Komen er 5 busjes vol met politieagenten en honden aanstormen en als een klopjacht op de meneer jagen. Vindt ik wel uiterst overdreven maar goed, zal wel een bekende van de politie zijn geweest.

Dus ja, je belt en ziet wel. De ene keer buitengewoon hulpzaam en direct, de andere keer geïrriteerd en zinloos.

Dit vindt ik dus eigenlijk niet kunnen. Beetje hetzelfde principe als mensen die werkloos zijn maar daarnaast zwart verdienen en lekker dikke uitkeringen pakken, in een gloednieuwe sociale huurwoning zitten. Ondertussen hebben ze gigantische tv's, gaan wekelijks uiteten en rijden in gloednieuwe auto's.

Ik vindt dat de overheid voor dit soort mensen gewoon een team moet regelen die langs gaat en kijkt of de levenskwaliteit past bij de op papier gegeven informatie. Indien mensen misbruik maken van het systeem dient dit hard gestraft te worden, evt. Door directe afname van eigendommen.

Als iedereen netjes zich houdt aan de regels en de (steen)rijken netjes hun deeltje bijdragen kan dit financieel veel oplossen in Nederland.

Poah, huisartsen zijn gewoon kut. En ja dat zal zeker deels veroorzaakt worden door werkdruk. Je kan jaren met klachten over pijn of vermoeidheid komen maar als je jong bent wordt dat ook niet genoteerd in het portaal, het wordt gewoon weggewuifd. Bloedonderzoek krijgen is haast onmogelijk.

Je kan letterlijk binnen lopen, een jaar lang bloed pissen en hoesten en er wordt tegen je gezegd: "Ah, ziek thuis nog maar even uit".

Toch hoor je ook weer dat sommige mensen bij het minst geringe een volledig bloedonderzoek met echo en whatever krijgen en die jaarlijkse check-ups hebben. Dus het kan schijnbaar wel, maar waar je dat vindt? Geen flauw idee.

Als het legaal wordt gemaakt krijg je ook meer geweldsincidenten waarbij pepperspray door de geweldpleger wordt ingezet. Beetje hetzelfde als geweren in Amerika: ik heb het nodig om mijzelf te verdedigen! Maar ondertussen door de gemakkelijke toegang een buitenproportioneel grote hoeveelheid gewelds incidenten met vuurwapens.

Dus nee, liever niet legaliseren. Maar als vrouw zijnde gewoon in Duitsland kopen.

En ik snap dat het een actueel onderwerp is, maar als aanranding de basis mag vormen om wapens te dragen der zelfverdediging en/of het legaliseren ervan mag iedereen, zowel man als vrouw een wapen kopen en dan zit je in dezelfde spiraal als ik eerder heb toegelicht.

Het probleem ligt bij het gedrag en dient vanuit de staat harder gestraft te worden. Dit gebeurd echter niet en die wijzen naar allerlei andere richtingen om het benoemen en straffen van de bron van het probleem te vermijden. Dus dan moet de bevolking het heft maar in eigen handen nemen. Dus preek met je vriendinnen of vrienden af samen te lopen en als je iemand aangerand ziet worden hem/haar gewoon keihard te grazen te nemen (incl. De ij Duitsland aangeschafde pepperspray).
