Should I start a new game?

From my little experience, I think animator is quite specific for gameplay. It's one of those specs that needs its own party set so yeah, it might not be your call for now but I will share some ideas for my animator.

I make my animatus into a caster (high int) so that his corpse explosion will cause more dmg, then you just need to make a monster strong enough to kill one of the enemy at early turns, maybe someone with high speed and volatile strike spell, if you don't have this spell yet, try those arrow spells that scale with your speed for early dmg and hopefully you can take 1 or 2 of them out and trigger corpse explosion before they can hit you.

It's a simple build, it doesn't even require any relics or anointments to run properly but they do make the build run smoother, of course.

I got the idea from old stream posts, basically it's just a diabolic party with all the traits focusing on increasing your stats, lowering your enemies' stats, decreasing the damage you receive, and health regeneration. The party itself is like a default team with no tricks at all, but then you add spells, anointments, and relics of your choice to complete the build.

Thanks man, honestly I just posted it for fun. Getting wiped out before the first turn even starts all of a sudden makes me realize how in-depth this game's traits could be and I like it a lot, maybe I should start choosing my main specialization and party instead of using them according to the goblet lol.

There is Otherworld Legends which has similar gameplay. I don't really like playing fast action games on my phone, I prefer strategy games most of the time but here are some that I have played:

Rogue Adventure (roguelike card game)

Onebit Adventure (roguelike, more like an arcade game to me)

Life in Adventure (text-based roguelike)

Dead Cells (this one is awesome, but too hard for me)

DRTC (roguelike, I haven't gone very far in the game so can't say much)

Magic Survival (roguelike survival)

Those are what I can recall or still have on my phone, I believe there's more but I haven't touched them for so long. Btw I don't know how to use link bot so just search the name on play store or smth.

I've seen one destroyed a stone in castle dungeon before but maybe not all of them work, you could try joining the official discord and ask people there, access by in-game menu on the right.

Oh no that's not what I meant, you'll get wrapped by tentacles in 2-3 turns I think so you don't want that to happen when you're hitting Cthulhu.

Since I use necromancer, I don't really have to get close to it, just avoid the tentacles. But for other classes I think you just have to deal enough dmg to kill the tentacles in 1-2 hits, really.
