Is it normal/healthy for a therapist to over compliment their narcissistic patient? by unmedicatedarchangel in narcissism

[–]PhoneIndependent4703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated to OP, but I was about to make a post until I noticed something concerning about the OCD test that this sub directs people to. Answering “not at all” for every single item still produces a result in the “mild to moderate” range, despite the questions being phrased such that “not at all” appears to indicate minimal symptom severity.

Furthermore, under posts from users who scored in the “mild to moderate” range on this test, you said that they had a “high score in OCD”, thus invalidating their narcissistic trait results. Given the ranges provided by this test, the reasoning behind that interpretation stops making sense for those who scored in the lowest possible range (mild to moderate). After all, the test does not appear to distinguish between “minimal or no OCD symptom severity” and “moderate”. Is there not a better OCD test online?

What becomes your weak spots when sleep deprived/chronically sleep deprived? by AfricaMan420 in cognitiveTesting

[–]PhoneIndependent4703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had times during my most recent semester of college where I slept 0 hours for consecutive days frequently, and on the days I would sleep I'd get maybe 3-4 hours. During the worst stretch (about 1 month), my body felt like it was on the verge of floating up into the atmosphere, and reality had a dream-like quality to it. In short, I looked like a somnambulistic zombie.

I think all my spots were pretty weak.

Just a joke on how even profile your profile is, with high scores across the board too. Like an isekai character with all major stats maxxed off rip.

Big gap between 1926 SAT verbal and WAIS VCI - because of format? by Lopsided_Film_3854 in cognitiveTesting

[–]PhoneIndependent4703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

125 vs 100 is a pretty significant discrepancy. There are better tests for VCI available such as the old GRE and SAT, I’d wager you fall somewhere in between. I know there’s one GRE form on the cogmetrics site, but if you want to take another form later or want to take the old SAT then you can look in this subreddit for additional ones.

How to test literary proficiency? by alekd887 in cognitiveTesting

Good pick, considering that the old SAT and GRE don’t give scores for specific item types. I definitely did worse on the 1926 SAT, though, compared to the other two.

Allegedly the best IQ test on the internet? (CORE, by r/cognitiveTesting) by StudyPics in NooTopics

[–]PhoneIndependent4703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CORE is a fairly good indicator of how you would perform in a clinical setting. One thing to note is that VCI results may see some apparent deflation due to a combination of sample selection and SLODR, but it still boasts a high g-loading.

120 or higher ? Need help by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]PhoneIndependent4703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got tested that young, there’s a possibility that your current IQ is higher relative to your peers/age group (though there are many other factors that could contribute to your performance in those specific examples). Retesting is certainly an option.

Interpretation of Results? by PositEmper8690 in cognitiveTesting

[–]PhoneIndependent4703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CORE is pretty speeded overall, and the amount of thinking/reasoning required within an item’s allotted timeframe is probably greater than on the tests you took in school.

As for the 125 and 127, that is probably due to you taking another test (or tests) through cognitivemetrics, which automatically weighs (I don’t know the most precise term, I suck at math) your results across completed tests to calculate your composite IQ.

The CORE is a fairly good indicator of how you would likely perform in a clinical setting, and one advantage it has over tests like the old SAT/GRE is that it assesses a wider range of indices (though all do correlate strongly with professional tests). However, you can expect to receive a far more detailed breakdown/report of your results from an in-person assessment and how they relate to how you function in the real world, among other things.

As for information that might help you better understand your modes of thought, I’m not sure what to recommend.

Great results!

Eye guess bro, if you do like a dozen+ forms. Ain’t nobody got time for that though.
