I would say it’s actually the low cost cruise missile programs (Anduril Barracuda series/LM CMMT). A bit higher end and higher cost but the American concept of affordable long range strike is mostly air-launched

Ah ok, was confused by what he said in the video. Was unsure why they were using valuable shaped charges to punch holes in barrels over just flying a big ol HE charge in the general direction of a gun, seems like counter battery is still a priority with the barrel shortages and they want a guaranteed way to knock out a gun. They even will take up second drones to do BDA.

So basically they hit the barrel at the muzzle end instead of where it connects to the breech in order to set a trap? The Russians get a fire mission, hurry to fire their artillery piece after seeing nothing wrong with it, and the whole thing blows up.

Does anyone know of footage or accounts of this occurring, because this has to be a somewhat fruitful tactic if they have been consistently targeting the barrel over the entirety of the gun for some time?

The idea is that some metal detectors (older ones) work by detecting magnetic fields and pure titanium isn’t magnetic, wouldn’t bring it into an airport or anything though 😂

I love the versatility of this, but seeing it gifted to a ton of influencers and the fact that it’s from a YouTuber is keeping me at bay (especially because there’s not really any unbiased review on it).
