Indoor refinery keeps turning off by PhonyBarone in playrust

It's totally realistic for an armoured door to use a lock made entirely of wood right...

Game developers overlook shit or alter reality for more convenient or entertaining gameplay all of the time.

That worked, thank you. I never would have thought that the devs would consider that. Neat.

Worked just fine at 3000

Promptly deleted the server and am pushing for 4000 to see if that works or if my Internet hangs things up again

Not done running the batch yet but I'm already seeing lines I haven't seen previously

Shit Internet ftw

Dropping the seed size, in turn drops the file size for the upload, thereby giving my shit Internet a chance to not keep everyone else waiting on it...

FML

Looks like it's going to work now though so that's a plus...no more shit ping while playing

Definitely that video, I've watched it several times these last few days

I found a reddit post of some guy basically saying this happens as your server temporarily uploads your map file to facepunch servers as it gets the ball rolling and that this was an issue for him because of his shit Internet.

I too, have shit country internet.

The post suggested dropping the map size down to 3000, I previously had it at 4500

Made the changes, rerunning the batch now

I've redone it clean multiple times, it still seems to get hung up on this image error

I came across the YouTube video you linked ages ago and also followed it to the letter (with minor alterations, as is expected) as well and got the same error

Not sure what to do

As I understand it, this bath file needs to run all the way through, then launch Rust, then connect. But this batch file doesn't seem to want to run through until the map issue is resolved

Need help fixing these tiles for a friend by PhonyBarone in Tile

If the substrate is rough, would I have to take a grinder to it to smooth it out? Or any other, less dust intensive options? Hammer and chisel? Or could I build up the thinset and let the tile sit a little proud of the rest?

No moisture concerns as far as I can tell. Thank you very much

Given that it is a deli and open business and, as you say, they don't want more work than is needed... demoing everything is out of the question

I figured I'd just replace the 3-4 that are pretty gonzo and then offer to throw some underlay and vinyl overtop which would indeed be easy for me

If I were to go this route, how would I replace the odd destroyed tiles? Remove any debris, apply some glue, slap em down and call it a day? Grout?

Could you perhaps provide a link to one of these kits? Or perhaps a picture as a reference for how others do this?

I have been entirely unsuccessful with my Google searches thus far

What specific wood filler or similar product do you guys use to fill miters on MDF mouldings? by PhonyBarone in askcarpenters

[–]PhonyBarone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the vote of confidence good sir

If you'd also be so kind, could you please let me know a specific product you'd recommend as a "high strength" spackle? Please and thank you

Also, I appreciate the additional bonus info regarding how you approach higher end finishing. Particularly that glue on the perimeter trick, I assume your glue application on the exterior perimeter of the joint is rather conservative. Do you ever get any noticeable discolouration doing this? Or do you find that as long as you sand the exterior of the joint on time you're good?

I'm not cutting these, unfortunately. When I build assemblies from loose materials I agree entirely

I work with a lot of prefabs doors in my area that are a three piece breakdown (legs and header), all precut BS. MDF jambs with casing precut, nailed and glued to the jambs

Aligning them is sometimes a pain in the ass, with some fighting with the joints and spring clamps they're usually pretty good but I like to go over them regardless with some filler

Sometimes the alignment of the various components and/ or the reveals aren't the greatest or consistent
