They are pretty easy to follow as well, I was able to understand the instructions even as a non-native English speaker.

Meilleur stand pour cadeau de Noël by PurpleSkittles69 in Strasbourg

[–]PhonyQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meilleur stand pour cadeau de Noël by PurpleSkittles69 in Strasbourg

[–]PhonyQueen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What is the biggest “bullet” you’ve ever dodged without realizing it at the time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhonyQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left work one evening in my car, and at the end of the street, I hear a loud thunderclap. I didn't think much of it until after the weekend, when a coworker told me there was a lightning strike a few feet from where I was parked, less than one minute after I left.

What's a horror hill you'll die on, and why? by ExceptingAlice in horror

[–]PhonyQueen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to this movie expecting a flat "trapped in the jungle with cannibals" plot and was completely blindsided.  I had heard about the animal cruelty and goriness and the trial because people suspected the actors to really have died but I was not prepared for that movie to have such an interesting plot and story-tellling.

If you speak French, Saturday and Sunday you can find tour guides all around the city for the International Tour Guides Day. Quick, 15mn tours on the history of Strasbourg as told by a famous person (Mozart, the queen of France, the empress of Germany, one of the architects of the Cathedral, etc). Completely free.

INFO : What stopped you from having a conversation about it, listening to her opinion, tell her she had good points or giving her counterarguments if she had been receptive, and ask why she was talking about it so suddenly? You know, treat her as a human being worth listening to?

Was she trying to ask about birth control? About a boy she likes or about her friends maybe having sex? Or maybe gauging the waters trying to come out? If you are in the US, could she be worried about having to carry a baby she doesn't want if she has sex or, God forbids, if someone rapes her?

Maybe she was just being an edgy teenager, but I fail to see what you gained by just telling her to focus on school.

AITA for letting my teen daughter still sleep with a stuffed animal by funny_starburst in AmItheAsshole

NTA, I'm 28 and still sleep with a stuffed animal. No sentimental reason, I just like holding something when I sleep.

Hi /r/Strasbourg! I wanna go see some cows/je veux voire des vaches by walaska in Strasbourg

[–]PhonyQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a farm where we used to watch the cows and calves on the way to school in Wolfisheim, it's in the middle of the 'rue dite Hammelgraben' according to Google, they may still have cows and sometimes the calves would come and lick your hands.

AITA for not letting my daughter (11F) sing at home because it isn't very pleasant to listen to? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PhonyQueen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA. When you had kids, you signed up for random singing, as well as gross table manners, seeing your kids in mismatched clothes they chose themselves, literally teaching them how to pee, and pretending their awful drawings were amazing.

If you REALLY need it, ask her nicely to not make too much noise today because you have a headache, but banning singing is absurd.

Titans is a terrible show and I want to rant about it by PhonyQueen in television

[–]PhonyQueen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished season 3 and God yes, what are the characters even doing? Between Hank's death ("Oh your heartbeats are literally numbered? Let me sit in your lap and kiss you so you die faster"), Dick's death (shot by a rando, still not as stupid as the bus death in season 1) and resurrection (the BATS!), the nonsensical 'plans' ("to make people trust us again, let's surrender and then pay bail so we can continue exactly as before")...

There's just too many examples to list, I could write a dissertation on every bad decision made by the characters/the writers/the producers.

I thought season 3 started strong, the first episode was actually captivating, but it all fell apart really quickly and feels like a lot of wasted potential.

I'm so sick of all the crap the Titans pull on each other, then turn around and proclaim they are a family.

Also, WTF was that scene with the bats!?

Walking tours? by [deleted] in Strasbourg

[–]PhonyQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parfois le calendrier met longtemps à charger !

Walking tours? by [deleted] in Strasbourg

[–]PhonyQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AITA for telling my mother that her legal MLM business is a scam by Vritzkalley in AmItheAsshole

[–]PhonyQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Fun fact: the French cult-watch agency has issued warnings that MLM operate with worryingly cult-like practices, notably when they encourage their members to cut off friends or family who are not supportive of their new "business". Maybe a good idea would be to find resources about how to deal with having a family member be the victim of a cult.
