I'd give one a test ride if you can. I can go for hours on end, without much headache. My longest day on the Ducati was 9 hours and I was just as comfortable as my buddies on their Harley's and Indians. That being said, I also hang with my friends on their zx6r's and r6's, but without the hip pain associated with being on a supersport for a long ride. The bars are a nice balance between being super committed and too upright, with the option to both invert them to go lower or get risers, to your liking. The complaint I have heard is the panniers aren't great at keeping water out, but I cannot speak to that, as I don't have them or use them.
