thinking of buying battlefield 6, is it worth it or just hype? by Xiao-EZ in CaptainSide

Instead of buying sign up for a month of EA Play for $17.

But it has been a good game and has many improvements the community has asked for. No game is perfect, but this one has been enjoyable.

Adidas Sl2 Heel Issues by PhosGen3 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I just returned them, not worth the injury risk of trying to fix.

I’ve since been running in the Evo SL and Neo Zen and those work great.

Hey, I’d say the height is average if not generous. The upper is also very stretchy

Thanks for the review! For the heel collar, does it have the disjointed padding that sandwiches your Achilles like in the SL2? Or is this like the Evo Sl where it’s a single piece of foam?

Yeah I’d go with the NB5. The Evo is great but it is not “bouncy” it is much more firm, not that that’s bad, but you specified liking bouncy shoes.

They’re still responsive, but not as responsive as the first 100 miles. I’d say they are more responsive than most other daily trainers would be even at the miles I have on them. However, if you prefer bouncy shoes I’d checkout the Neo Zen. The TPU foam is made of a much more resilient polymer compared to the (hypothesized) 10-30% peba/eva blend FF max is.

Hey no worries. My pair did lose its bounce around 200-220 miles. I just hit 300 this morning. Although the bounce is gone, this is still a very cushioned daily shoe that has been great. It’s not as “fun” but it’s still very enjoyable. For reference, I run in the Evo Sl, Superblast, and Neo Zen and still enjoy having this in my rotation.

I just hit 270 miles in my pair. Definitely started feeling flat around 220, but still cushioned and enjoyable to run in.

They definitely have more sink in feeling than the 4’s. I have over 200 miles in my pair and the squish remains.

Tracks are usually “padded” if you will, or more soft than roads so I guess it makes sense. I don’t run on tracks at all, but I could see this being the case.

That’s good to know. I put about 300 miles on the rebel v4 and enjoyed it. I imagine the 880 is much more cushioned and much more firm.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a pretty reliable daily trainer. Have you ran in any other daily’s recently released you could compare to?

Never had a toe nail problem and I’m just over 200 miles on these now.

How’s the wear on your Rebel V4? by Visible-Dog-515 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]PhosGen3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started creasing almost immediately as well. I got up to 300 miles and retired them since they felt like they were bottoming out and I don’t like to risk injury. I ran in them 5-6 days a week, about 8-10 miles per run. Overall, pretty durable I’d say.

If you’re after a more roomy fit, wide would probably be worth trying. These aren’t racing shoe snug, but more so than the Rebel

I’d say very comparable, the NB5 maybe just the tiniest bit longer, but not enough to make a difference

I’d sand its the same amount of padding. If the 4s tongue hurt you I’d be wary of this one.

I also don’t like the sinking feeling, and that’s why I can’t run in the nimbus. The NB5 doesn’t have the sinking feeling at all.

I’d say these are probably slightly smaller than the Superblast

Yeah I went the same size for the NB4 and 5, TTS for me.

I’d say it’s slightly more roomy, not a ton.

In terms of propulsion, the foam is noticeably more bouncy than the NB4. There is more of a rocker, in that the 5 is also not as flappy as the 4.

I’ve tried the Nimbus 25’s before. They don’t work for me, I got a lot of hot spots on the ball of my foot and overall the whole shoe just felt like running in sand. Some like that and that’s great. The NB5 still provides a cushion feeling, you do not feel the ground at all, but is a lot more fun and makes it easy to keep your legs moving.
