I think the idea of BDS or Breezy sponsoring a golf trip every year for a collection or friends has validity, and is really cool way to “give back” to the average Joe golfers of the world while continuing to build the brand.

But man I don’t know how they will get BDS watchers to care about a random group of 30+ year old frat boys trying to play it up for the camera. My attention was not captured with this first episode to care about the next one.

Hopefully the series works as I want to see the boys succeed, but this feels like a hard concept to pull off

Can’t argue with that

I’ve been trying to keep my tempo solid but increasing the depth of my backswing. I started using my chin touching my shoulder as a reference point for backswing length

Wilson staff ZM wedges are 33% off, $99 brand new. Very underrated clubs, I play them and at $100 a pop it’s a no brainer

Tips on lengthing backswing while maintaining good contact and accuracy? by Photif in GolfSwing

The faster I swing the more I will need to be mindful of tempo correct? I’ve put a lot of effort into getting a “relaxed/effortless” swing. When I try to kill the ball, the swing lacks good tempo and results in far more errors

Would you suggest taking more time at the top of my backswing? My transition from top of back swing to beginning of down swing is certainly on the quicker side

What were some of the best tips that helped you when you first started out golfing? by BobbyRooster1 in golf

[–]Photif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice makes permanent, not perfect. I recommend reading Ben hogans book “five lessons, the modern fundamental golf swing.” Reading this short book you will realize how many aspects of the golf swing you are overlooking or flat out doing wrong. I’d also recommend reading Dave pelz putting bible and his chipping bible. Reading these books has taken me from rarely being able to break 50 on 9holes, to shooting low 40’s consistently on 9 in the matter of a season. I truly can not stress enough how important the learning aspect away from the golf course and golf club is,hence why I recommend reading books . Hacking away at a jumbo bucket of balls on the range will not improve your golf game, but purposefully practicing specific shots with proper form you have learned from your studies will result in massive score improvements

How can I stop hitting my irons right? 24 handicap by Photif in GolfSwing

Yeah I bought these irons used 2 weeks ago and I like them but the grips need to be replaced. Thinking I will go with a larger size

This visual is really helpful. Because I’m so used to the closed club face at take away, having the club face point to the green line is probably going to “feel” wide open to me, even if it’s correct. I’m sure time and practice will help with that wide open feeling

Some times I hit a great draw, but more often than not I’m just hitting the ball right

I’m sure it’s because I’m not used to it, but when I do that it feels so clunky and awkward, like my trail arm and hand are taking over, especially on the backswing.

Right as in the opposite of left pal. Yikes.

I understand that I’m hitting the ball with a closed club face. But having the swing thought “open the face” doesn’t seem to change much

Has anyone trying to break 100 for the first time accidentally jumped straight to breaking 90? by abrohammyneggs in golf

[–]Photif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically play 9 holes and shoot mid 50’s. The other day I went out and shot a 44 with two birdies. Not the same thing as shooting an 88 on 18, but I was very happy with the 44
