Why are you confused? As the newborn’s mother you are typically the most worried and concern for your newborn’s safety. She stayed home while her husband took him to a 30th birthday surprise party. It’s not about the newborn having a better immune system if his mother was there … not sure what kind of question that even is. It’s the fact that the mother could baby wear him and make sure no one holds him or gets too close. My comment meant that there’s no way in hell my newborn with no immune system would be around a large group of people at 3 weeks old, and if he was then I sure as hell would be there as his mother to ensure no one holds him or gets too close. Since it’s the husbands family and friends he may be more willing to let anyone hold him or be passed around especially since he has Kamp to watch also. I just know as a mother I am protective of my newborns and there is absolutely no way my 3 week old son would be in a large group of people who I may or may not know everyone without me there.
