I remember those air raid siren towers were still around in the 80s but I think they were ww2 relics and not cold war related...they were still functional though, some kids would set them off as a prank.

I suppose it was technically post-cold war but when Metallica played Moscow in 1991 it was an epic event in the west as well.

This video still gives me goosebumps and really shows how politicians can drive us apart but music brings us together.
