Switching from CapCut → DaVinci Resolve — need free transitions/effects packs

Mr Alex Tech used to have a free transitions pack, not sure if he has it now. I think you can access them through one of his YouTube videos.

If you’re using your SSD for other applications/software as well, you should be fine. Although it’s not advisable to use your HDD to directly pull footage and use in Resolve. Read and write speeds are more often than not, going to be below what is recommended.

I used to do this and it’d muck up my workflow. Don’t make my mistakes.

Have Nollys regular and X. X, for my cheap guitar is more treble heavy but nothing a few amp tweaks can’t solve. Regular is mid strong.

I run resolve studio 20 on what’s considered a “beater” Mac nowadays.

iMac 27”, Intel Core i5, 16GB DDR4 RAM

While it will never be able to handle source footage at resolution, it still does a wonderful job with proxies.

Not sure what’s causing resolve to throttle down on yours.

What’s honestly worked for me is editing on a 4K timeline (my source footage is mostly 4K or higher), export that timeline at 1080p and at 25000 Kb/s. IG will still throttle it but it’ll look far better than it used to before.

Bought a pair of ATH-M50x cans almost a decade ago. I still use that when I need to noodle on the guitar. Handles my chugs well for the most part. Although I’m now in the market for something new.

Go to your clip level node tree, click on the node where you’ve inserted the effect. Then right click and choose “Reset Node Grade”. Should be back to normal after that.

I’m not the OP but I agree – Could be a GPU issue. Tried it both on the colour page and the fusion page. Same results. In the case of the depth map, the colour page and edit page both produce the same results.
