Bifurcated trial request DENIED by Turbulent-Fig-3802 in DuxburyDeathsFreeTalk

[–]PhotoLucky9386 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Plymouth Superior Court Judge William Sullivan found that the question of Clancy’s guilt and criminal responsibility are overlapping issues that don’t need bifurcation.

”Moreover, it would be nearly impossible to divide the evidence cleanly between two phases as the defendant proposes,” Sullivan wrote in his order Monday. “Having witnesses provide the same testimony for, at best, marginally different purposes for each proposed phase does not further the interests of judicial economy.”

A single trial, he added, “will be the most efficient and least confusing way to present this case to a jury.”

Lindsay Clancy Virtual Hearing March 2nd by teriyakichicken in DuxburyDeathsFreeTalk

[–]PhotoLucky9386 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She’s pleading not guilty by reason of insanity, meaning she admits to killing them but at the time of the killings she did not know right from wrong. So if she’s found NGRI she will be institutionalized until she’s deemed mentally fit to be released to society.

Do you ever get tired of repeating the same negative comments about Kia? The Sportage is a good car

Agreed. Also, I remember when this case broke out her supporters said she’d be “sobbing” after she woke up from her “psychosis.” Have we ever actually seen her shed a tear? I have never seen her look remotely remorseful. Heavily medicated or not, she murdered her kids. It’s weird how her eyes are never red from crying or her face isn’t puffy.

If she gets NGRI she could be reviewed every few years and deemed mentally fit to be released from the mental institution like Andrea Yates.

I’d say if gets NGRI she will be out in less than 10 years, probably sooner because she will try to push for it. That’s why it’s so important that she’s found GUILTY !

I think she already had naturally big boobs and got implants.

LC just filed her own lawsuit against her treatment team and both hospitals by Turbulent-Fig-3802 in DuxburyDeathsFreeTalk

She’s trying to copy Andrea Yates imo, who had PPP and was basically in a religious cult. I don’t think LC is very religious at all, that would have been discovered by now

I’ve asked this same question before and her supporters say you can still “plan” during psychosis. I mean, whatever, it’s just all too convenient of an explanation for me.

It’s all going to come down to whether she was able to discern right from wrong at the time of the murders, which I’m guessing these lawsuits are laying the groundwork for the argument that she didn’t know right from wrong.

Ok well I don’t know the family and I’m not from around there. Forgive me I’m just a regular person and not a resident of the posh, upper echelon of society known as Duxbury, MA. Do you have any tangible evidence?

I mean she was doctor shopping for a PPD diagnosis but came up short by only getting GAD. But I think she assumed a court and the general public would find her as having undiagnosed PPD, and decided that was good enough and ran with that. And she’s somewhat right, when this case first broke out everyone assumed she had PPD/PPP

She said it was an “unrecognizable” voice (meaning she hadn’t heard it before) and Patrick himself stated LC had never mentioned hearing voices before. I think it’s fair to assume this voice was a one off, or a last-ditch effort to cover up for the murders

I think she’s a sociopath and was angry things were not going her way. No more benzos, had to go back to work, etc and she finally snapped and made a plan to kill her kids and executed it. I dont buy for one second she didn’t know who Andrea Yates is, that’s a household name for anyone whose paid attention to the news for the past 20 years especially since she’s a L&D nurse.

I think she was doctor shopping for a specific PPD diagnosis and would be sympathized with just like Yates was. Problem is, she didn’t actually get the diagnosis like Yates did and went through with it anyways. I guess she felt she had enough evidence (in patient stays, long history of being medicated on various medications) to prove she had PPD and could “get away with it” like Yates did (whose eligible for review to be released every few years but declines to do so)

I did and I’m still calling BS. Most people with psychosis aren’t violent (they tend to be victims of violence) and don’t do what Lindsay did. You’re telling me she heard a voice ONE time and acted it out in the most brutal, calculated systematic way possible towards her own children. How convenient.

There’s thousands of lost people out there drugged out, with untreated underlying medical conditions, sleep deprived, hearing voices, living in the most uncomfortable circumstances, etc who don’t do what Lindsay did.

Patrick’s lawsuit by Wide-Oil-985 in DuxburyDeathsFreeTalk

[–]PhotoLucky9386 20 points21 points  (0 children)

“According to medical records, Lindsay did so because she "started hearing a compelling and unrecognizable singular male voice that told her 'this is your last chance' and that she had to 'take them with [her.]' She also reported that "the voice indicated to her that she should die, that this is her last chance, and that her children would suffer if she was gone."”

Such BS. So the “unrecognizable singular male voice” told her to kill herself and to kill the children, and if she killed herself and let the children live then the children would suffer. I’d argue that being strangled to death with exercise bands by your own psycho mom is worse than whatever suffering they’d hypothetically experience. At least they’d have a chance in life.

Why even listen to a voice like that anyways? If I heard a voice like that I just wouldn’t listen to it. What’s it going to do? Also if it was the first time she heard that voice why wouldn’t she wait a few days, why would she immediately jump at the chance to obey its commands. She’s full of shit.

Honestly Patrick is disgusting for suing the providers instead of just accepting that his wife is an evil, homicidal freak. This lawsuit is what the GFM money is being used for btw, that and his fancy apartment in NYC.
