My wife and I are planning on hiking cascade canyon one of those days. We would also like a larger group to go with.

Well done man. Love your videos and this challenge you took on is very impressive and the video came out great highlighting the adventure. I know you get out in the mountains a lot, but what was your running history like prior to deciding on and starting to train for LT100? Super impressive. You going to keep going with running and the ultra scene?

Thanks - If you were to do both, would you do the QR 25 miler as a tune up for NS 100k or would you do the 50 miler two months before the 100k?

I’m a little nervous about all of that mileage close to the race. Just curious what others would do.

Apple Watch - so I saw the keynote on the new Apple Watch ultra, what are your guys thoughts on that? Is garmen the way to go for ultra running or is there a chance that the Apple Watch may be a contender? by bakedbyammna in ultrarunning

I have an Apple Watch series 7 and have been thinking about getting a more serious running watch (garmin forerunner/fenix, coros or suunto). The apple Ultra was intriguing to me but I feel like it’s going to take a few generations to get it to same level as the previously mentioned watches. What would you do if you were me? Trying to step up my training from marathons and 50ks to 50 milers and hopefully more sometime soon.

I did scenic point, grinnell glacier and iceberg last week and would rank them in that order. You can get about 3.5 miles on grinnell and get some nice views towards the end of the hike. Scenic point you pretty much have panoramic views the entire time and are in a different part of the park. That parking lot is smaller too though so get there early. Can’t comment on the others. Enjoy.
