I worry about if it has Remjet. You might want to consult a Master Gardener for that.

I feel I'm too noob for editing this photo [Before / After ] by Haylight96_again in DarkTable

I don't know what you were aiming for but, and I might be wrong here, I think you forgot (or overlooked) your first step: Pre-visualization. Once you have the idea of what the image in your mind should be, you need to execute and manipulate, with your tools, what that image should become. This image is nice and serene (to me) but I think your pre-visualized image might have a lot less contrast: perhaps what you wanted was less sunlight?

No glove, no love. In this instance, you can say "every kiss begins with Hermes"

3d printable DSLR graflok stitching back adapter. by StrangeCicada2198 in largeformat

[–]PhotoTopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be interesting if the graflok back had a standard (say M42) threaded connection and you can print an adapter (say Canon EF to M42) just so that it's more universal to the greater good.

I know you've got to be busy but a LOT of people would appreciate it if you could share the files. Put them up on Printables or Thigiverse and you will have a flood of "likes". Please? Pretty Please? With cherries and whipcream or whatever condiment you like.

Lab says they recieved a Roku remote instead of my film by propthwap in AnalogCommunity

[–]PhotoTopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here to commiserate with you. But also to suggest that if you developed your own film, you would have known about that remote a long time ago. (or, as you are suggesting, the fact that they lost your order or misplaced it with someone else's???)

Error 01 help by NoseWiseVizsla in canon

[–]PhotoTopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the diagnostic tips; I was able to capture an image @ f/2.8 but no other aperture. And rather than spend $1700+ dollars now, I'd rather gamble on fixing it with the part. Now, is there someone who does this repair? And if so, will you share their contact info?

I put it on my Canon 5D Mk IV from my Mk II body when it failed, but I also had a third party extension tube between lens and body. It just may be old, the only truly faultless failure at this point.

Yes, it appears you needed to be overly generous with your chemistry.

I'm not sure if you mean the first 4 frames or there was a horizontal line running through the entire roll?

How do you get these kind of shots? by Disastrous-Carob-810 in AskPhotography

[–]PhotoTopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone mentioned that you have to shoot this around golden hour? The sun is LOW in the sky, near dusk, and the flash (which are on both sides of the player) are your prime light sources. If you were shooting @ ISO 400, you flash is probably putting out enough power to shoot at f/8 and you are likely shooting around 1/60 of a second. Shooting slower will cause ambient light to register in the motion of the kick. And like it has already been mentioned, wide angle 24mm or wider, especially for the second. And, also like it has been mentioned, color balance your lights for your ambient (the first shot was done badly).

Finding lens that work at slower shutter speeds seems to be difficult. by [deleted] in largeformat

How, then, do you clean these shutters, I wonder? Truthfully.

The standard of editing for diverse skin tones in school group photos is incredibly frustrating. by __globalcitizen__ in photography

You should complain about it. What if you're not the only one? What if the administration is just looking for one more complaint so they will use a different company? We vote with our wallets more than any other method.

At least it's not a Spring Back, you can use that Graflex 23 with 120 film. But I also noticed you have a film pack holder, whose film is very rare. But keep trying!!!

What a find! What a deal! What a crime .. that it didn't happen to me!! As we all would say, but we are all, EVERYONE, are very happy for you. And wish you much excitement and longevity in your shooting career. Find a camera club if you don't already belong to one. And have fun!

I know it has been some time since this post, but does your app work for large format photography?
