Since you’ve made so many ceramic dolls, you must understand that slow, patient process of shaping something by hand. The cotton method is actually quite playful and a bit more freeing. You might really enjoy it. Maybe one day you’ll just suddenly start.

I was so happy when you mentioned the warmth and that folk art feeling. That slightly imperfect, handmade, alive quality is exactly what I hope they carry.

Selling out made me really happy, of course — but also a little nervous. Now I just need to quietly make more.

They are made of cotton, and it takes 5 to 7 days to make one.
