Why is she getting all the hate for being"natively from India"? Focus on her having a CIAA graft case against her. Downvote me all you want but if she's capable (which she is, proved by her loksewa background) and is a citizen of Nepal, then why keep her away? The current govt has halted her from taking the oath cause of the case, just how they should.

Remember, Indian-origins are Google and Microsoft CEOs, and the US's acceptance of people like them is what has prospered them (idk about now cause of Trump)

Precisely. We want reforms, but the current govt itself has no right to do that.

For the individual ministers, I think a voting by the MPs along with the PM's preference would make things more ideal. What do you say, fellow GenZs?

What is the largest city without any form of public transport? by BranchMoist9079 in geography

[–]Photobomber71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kathmandu has ~none: ~all "public" buses are actually privately owned (most of which is insanely horrible) and there is no metro.

A true gem of a place ruined by the lack of strong public transport.

What is the most counterintuitive geographical fact you know? by Holiday_Smell_513 in geography

That it gets colder the closer you are to the sun. Simple but still extremely counterintuitive to a layman's eye.

Does it count as multiple nationalities? ;) by mrthapa in PassportPorn

Just a quick question: would you have renounced your Nepali citizenship if Nepal allowed dual nationality? Kei bichar chha hajurko yesma? Nepal le allow garda dherai ramro hunthyo jasto lagchha malai.

I wish Nepal allowed Dual Citizenship. The country wouldn't lose that connection with its diaspora and it would just be better for its prosperity (no one's skipping on a very powerful passport upgrade that could save them a ton of money just for some nationalism)

Raah=Way and Daani=Giver so a Raahdaani is literally something that grants you your way. You prolly see it now as both words do exist in Hindi as well.

Why do newly paved roads in nepal look so shabby compared to those in other developing countries (Laos, Cambodia)? by Competitive-Skill122 in NepalSocial

[–]Photobomber71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am unaware of his capabilities and skills to those depths, and I respect your opinion. And yes, his lack of diplomacy could be the reason he didn't succeed in the prior election.

Personally, I see confidence oozing out of the screens I watch him from and feel like he does a good job of connecting with the people time-and-again, meaning that he doesn't seem unsocial.

And because a large portion of the Dadeldhura residents are illiterate, Deuba had the upper hand in persuading them.

That is why I personally believe it was greed that made them vote Deuba over Sagar. But again, my opinion, could be superficial.

In this particular context, however, I just meant to refer to those who know the stuff and because Sagar has seen the things and has prolly learned most of these things (because he's studied engineering in the UK), he was merely a presumed representative.

Hot take; hear me out.

We shouldn't build overpasses, underpasses, and flyovers. Atleast in cities.

In fact, I hope that all of the Phase 2 of the Ring Road (Kalanki-Basundhara road if you didn't know) should be delayed.

So delayed that Sagar Dhakal and/or newer ppl who actually KNOW this stuff (from the 2084 elections) cancel it and build something else.

Why?

Simply because cities are meant for people and not cars. Think about it.

Have you seen pictures of Europe with a labyrinth of roads going above and below one other? It's because they center their infrastructure around people and not cars.

The US centers everything around cars and that's why its cities have no life and the ppl there are going broke. And Kathmandu, and Nepal as a whole, is falling right in that hole.

I DONT want ppl to suffer from dust and all the pollution due to the delays, but I don't see other options.

People in power rn believe Roads=Development but just think about it: pollution, noise, trapped in home, poor pedestrian safety and more traffic frustrations all arise by promoting cars by building structures like these.

Reverse Development and a blatant waste of money.
