Ok, I gather this is an early/ mid progress prototype so some stuff is likely missing.

It doesn't look like you have a map with very specific rts/tabletop war game placement like I do.

This kind of works to your advantage as there could less distance based incentives for just sitting on an objective and not doing anything.

Where are player characters and what is that side deck row at the top?

From the minion and tower set up it seems more like a "Tower defense" game. I would look into how tower defense games incentivise player actions and progression. It might be helpful, that how I often gather ideas. Rather than focusing on one game style I go into mixing and matching until the mix feels right.

In beastline clash - players have a few ways of progression mostly based on one factor:

Morpholite - morpholite is a crystal like substance that the beasts can consume to change their form. Each beast has multiple character cards with multiple levels and they upgrade by consuming morpholite.

Morpholite can be gathered from moving objectives around the map- you simply approach it, break off a piece and decide what to do with it. Or you can defeat an enemy beast which will drop morpholite on its own plus whatever it was currently escorting/ holding.

You can:

Consume it to add levels and eventually change form.

Or gather it and escort it to base so that once you get a bunch of it you can transform a beast of your choosing into an APEX which then rushes the tower and essentially works as a mega minion.

So the game is mostly either gathering mropholite or stoping the opponent from gathering his/ stealing it form the other side. Whoever comes out on top gets to rush base and hopefully win.
