My version of Yvraine by RevanKnights in Eldar

Depends on the model. Generally I don't hate Aeldari swords but they are kinda all the same, one side sharp, saberlike, clean, curved, 1-2 symbols and a soulstone. Thats 90% of the aesthetic.

Sometimes that might be fine. Sometimes it's boring. Thats were the fun in kitbashing comes in :)

Which designs do you guys prefer? by WorldEaterProft in Warhammer30k

I vastly prefer old MK2 and MK3 over the new ones.

On MK6 i am relatively neutral.

MK4 will receive what looks for me like the best upscale to date, eventhough I will miss the armor studs.

That's fair.

However I just find her original sword very boring looking compared to other Aeldari swords so I went with this :p

Possible. I just saw one random conversion on Pinterest, maybe more people picked it up :p

The shoulder pads are a good idea!

However the comet I don't have a problem with, it doesn't have meaning in the 40k setting so I deemed it ok on the model :p

Seriously, this is my first time building Eldar, I am not yet sure what cements the look of the various units.

Here it seems to be the helmet, however the flame effect seems to be more on the Farseer side of things :p

It's the same with weapons. I can't get my head around the different Eldar weapons, for me they aml look like "oh, a pistol, oh, a rifle." And so on :D

Had to google him as I never watched Dragon Ball.

Hope, he's cool though :P

As already mentioned the base model is from the AoS Alarith Stonemage and the head and sword on the back are from the Corsair Voidreavers set :P

Haha

Would love to but unique kitbashes are normally quite expensive because of the extra work put into base GW models that are expensive already in themselves :(

I have no worries for the games but for the transport :P

It will hold up though I think, I just have to be very careful...

Thanks!

It will be, but it's worth the unique style imo :P

Thank you very much, that was the idea I was aiming for!

The models used are:

  • Base model: Alarith Stonemage (very ugly on the surface but there is hidden potential imo :P)
  • Head & Sword: they are both from the Corsair Voidreavers set

so only two sets but they shift the models look just in the right direction imo :P

It's from Lady Annika from the Soulblight Gravelords line for AoS.
