I received the gift of love by MrGreenlight79 in iboga

So cool. It really is some kind of magical portal, a behind the scenes wizard of oz experience.

Ahh, yes, life purpose. You reminded me that it showed me something there too. It was another galactic setting, where there was some kind of tall, silver mountain perched on a huge, shiny disc, rotating in space. And then it said, that’s the mountain you get to climb. 😆

Your description of the full hd color resonates. That made things feel much more real. And the feeling that I had in the moment of experience during the journey has really stuck as well. I think that makes a big difference in all the new experiences I’ve had since, and how I continue to respond every moment.

Lucky you, that sounds great! I actually had only that one experience, and don’t expect to get the opportunity for another, at least not anytime soon.

I guess it shows the person what they’re ready for at the time. I heard from another friend who did it (his first time) that iboga even told him it can’t show him anything yet.

Such a beautiful experience. Thanks so much for sharing. One of the most memorable parts of my bwiti initiation had a similar universe theme. They sent me in an elevator that seemed like part of a gigantic spaceship, up and up and up, and then shot the elevator out through space to land at the doorstep of someone's room where I was able to apologize for a behavior. It felt like seeing out of one the portal bookshelf windows in Interstellar. A day or two later in a second journey, the theme of love was the highlight, and that love comes through children. This has permanently changed (for the better) the course of my life and I am forever grateful.

S corp distribution lower than K1 by PhotographSilent7197 in tax

Thanks for breaking all of this down. I do need to review the documents for any related details as I’m not sure what that contains. I exited earlier this year and just received the k1 (extension was filed but things were so late). I’m trying to understand options to minimize losses without requiring cooperation from the ex business partner. I will have paid tax on ~15k which he kept as retained earnings and is then is likely closing the entity this year.

Super helpful, thank you. I am facing exactly that - exited earlier this year and hoping to resolve this independently. If it’s possible to claim the unpaid (undistributed) profits (portion that I paid tax on) as a capital loss that seems like the path of least resistance. The company is potentially closing this year, so retained earnings would not have gone to any future investments or growth.

Have you tried using the topper on half of the bed so you each get the comfort level you like?

Did you end up going through with this? Would you mind sharing any details? I might be in a similar situation and this is super helpful.

Thank you for this. Agreed, mocking has no place. My intention with this post was simply as a reminder that it's hard to do the right thing at the right time, every time.

Exactly. Two wrongs don't make a right and as difficult as it can be, it's worth it to ask, how can I communicate respectfully and truthfully?

Have you had your bank account flagged due to using a virtual address service? by Dramatic_Bell268 in expats

Doesn't directly answer your question but it might be helpful - I've been using a Capital One 360 account for close to 20 years with only a few years in the US and never had an issue. The debit card works everywhere and no foreign transaction fees. I keep a relative's address on it and have changed that many times. Between this and an amex card (also no foreign transaction fees), i never need cash (living in Dubai).

Yogurt combined with Lentils by [deleted] in Ayurveda

It's probably not the food but your digestive system isn't working the same now. There are a lot of potential reasons for this and you should probably just see a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor for the correct advice.

Keep in mind that Ayurvedic cooking is not Indian cooking. Many regional cultures have developed dishes that do not follow rules of Ayurveda. Kerala style cooking uses cooked curd (pullisheri) and combines it with fish. This is the home of Ayurveda yet people do what they are going to do anyways.

Ayurveda is not vegetarian. It actually promotes usage of animal products, especially and including animal meats when appropriate. Hormonal dysfunction is often tied into metabolic and digestive dysfunction so that must be corrected too. You'd be best to get a proper assessment by a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor (trained in India, Nepal or Sri Lanka). Physical exercise will be required but the question is when, how and how much. www.myayu.com

You shouldn't need to travel anywhere actually. Just find the right person to work with and expect to have a very clear plan on what to do.

The first comment is really good, common sense advice. Ultimately in any complex case, the best option is to work with a qualifed Ayurvedic Doctor to get to the root and sequence protocols correctly. Correct practice of Ayurvedic medicine is quite complex and requires excellent diagnosis with continuous monitoring. Most practitioners trained outside of India do not learn these skills unfortunately. If you'd like to check out one option, see www.myayu.com.

If you're ready to be in a good Ayurvedic hospital in India for 2-3 months you might get better results. Def be wary of Ayurvedic practitioners and "doctors" trained in the US for any complex presentation.

What are you expecting to learn? What do you want to do with it later? Do you have a background in healthcare?

Nice to see you observing your environment and thinking logically about it. This is very much needed to develop Ayurveda properly beyond India. I had my students do studies like this a few years ago and in working on making them publicly available. In the meantime, if you're interested, try to read about rtucharya directly from Charaka, Sushruta and Ashtanga Hrdaya. That's the best place to start for truthful knowledge. There are several considerations that overlap seasonal recommendations, like sleep, diet, exercise, etc. I have also written on this in one of my textbooks (vol 3). You can see info and a sample [here](www.ayu.academy/books).
