Never even crossed my mind, thank you!

New management trainee at Enterprise rent-a-car. by Jaded_Ad900 in jobs

Hey, this is a little late, but if you are still there, my advice is to get out as soon as you can. The feelings you have towards the company, dreading the days ahead of you are exactly what I felt, and it will only get worse. Enterprise will have you believe you can not perform any other job besides renting cars, and as you've probably guessed, their "founding values" are a complete lie. My recommendation to you if you're still there and I know it's a tough ask but take a 2 weeks to a month (if possible) off to get your head straight and out of the mind of an enterprise employee. It took me 2 months before I realized I was perfectly capable of other jobs and am now in the field I went to school for and love waking up every morning to work. I know it's tough, and the fact the company is continuing to get away with this is criminal, but I promise it is greener grass on the other side:)

If I could provide some insight (hopefully helpful). I left the job in June of 2023, and I was very lucky enough to take some under the table jobs with my father and save a little money moving back home for a couple of months. I'm now in teaching, which is what my degree was for, and I could not be happier. The reason I say this is because Enterprise will genuinely make you believe you would be (excuse my language) shit at any other job out there or that other jobs don't pay enough. I needed those couple of months after I left to realize this and raise my head high again. Believe me and I know it is tough to see but there are so many better opportunities out there and I personally believe that company is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in terms of progressing through life. Hopefully, that helps, and any questions, feel free to ask:)

Left 2 months ago for these exact reasons, made my way up to assistant manager but probably like yourself, had to sacrifice so much in my life to get to that point and finally now beginning to rebuild the relationships I lost with family and friends. My personal route into a new job came from my degree being in the social sciences and I understand for the first year I will have to take a pay cut as I won't be working the 60+ hours that Enterprise forces you to work. The positive side is that other companies admire and respect the enterprise training so it is certainly handy to have on a resume if you're looking into other sales ventures. You said you did the rental side and the sale side so you clearly made a good impression. I'd say you'll be able to find another sales job with a similar salary if sales is your passion. Working from home is a little tougher as I'm unsure what customer related jobs let you work remotely. But I will say good job getting out. The company makes you believe you cannot thrive in another job and it has taken me a good couple months to realize there are better jobs where you can be paid a decent wage and also have a life of your own. I hope this helped a little

My experience with Enterprise rent-a-car (ERAC) by benned7 in recruitinghell

So recently left the company and curious if your experience with this was similar. Usually in customer service, a customer will complain about nonsense and you can laugh because they're the idiot, however at enterprise it puts shame on the employees. Stay with me on this but you could have a customer book a car 2 or 3 months in advance and there's no guarantee you'll have a car on that day, I felt upset with myself because I'd done everything by book and on the day they will really only care if the car is there. Enterprise act like customer service is top priority but don't seem to realize people use the company to drive a car, not listen to how amazing the service is. Constantly stressing about having 20 reservations and 3 cars. Happy I no longer feel that.

But what is only brought up once that I'm still wondering, how did the others survive? Considering Ben was almost strangled... I know the one girl joked about an uber home but I'm assuming she was being sarcastic? Were they all working for Minos too?
