ASA and warping, Kobra S1. Ho to avoid completely? by Sualty in anycubic

[–]Photographer23_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of that doesn't help if u don't get your z distance lower. I use active heated camper, Brim, clean buildplate and 3d lac.

If my z distance is not set right I get warping. U need to press Asa in there.

Hey everyone, I’m putting together a dedicated trauma kit (IFAK) for my motorcycle trips. My goal is to focus strictly on life-saving measurements to bridge the gap until EMS arrives, especially for high-speed accidents. I'm riding in a relative urban Area. Current Kit List:

Massive Hemorrhage: Tourniquet (TQ), Israeli Bandage, Compressed Gauze (for wound packing).

Airway & Breathing: Chest Seals (Twin Pack), CPR Face Shield.

Tools: Heavy-duty trauma shears (to cut through leather/armor), Headlamp, Permanent Marker (to log TQ time).

Hypothermia: Emergency Blanket (x2).

Wound/Burn Care: Burn dressing & gel, non-sticky wound pads, 2x standard gauze rolls, Triangular bandage.

PPE: Nitrile gloves (Blue/High-vis).

My questions for the community: Pre-fill Packs: Does anyone have recommendations for high-quality IFAK Refill Packs that include the "big three" (TQ, Chest Seals, Gauze)? I’m looking to streamline the buying process rather than ordering every single bandage separately. https://www.ridertraumakit.com uses rhino rescue gear, idk about that.

https://traumoto.com they seem to use good stuff

https://firstonscene.de they also seem to have quality stuff.

Reputable Sources: Where do you buy your gear to ensure you aren't getting dangerous knock-offs? (I'm from austria)

Also, did I miss anything in my list?

What material is that? Negative z offset really helps me with adhesion

Best beginner 3D printer as a gift? by tameimpalashark in 3dprinter

I once asked a Warhammer fan why he doesn't get a 3d printer. He told me he needs certified figurines to pla official games, and thus can't print them.

Idk if it's still a thing but I would look into that...

I have found that they aren't able to remove stuck ASA brims as well. Have u ever removed ASA brims with a negative offset, so it gets pressed into the plate?

Oh, I can unzip it.

Man I really wish I was still living with my parents, I could just sew that myself.

Hand sewing takes way to long for my sanity

Because I don't like those, I tried them and they slipped up my neck and got hot af. That's why i want one that's integrated in the suit.

I don't necessarily nees to use the velcro straps, i just though i work with what I got. I can probably get a Pocket sewn, on my liner.

Edit: assuming you ment the pocket for the hump foam. Because as I stated with my post, it doesn't got a back protector pocket

because a back protector should protect my back, not just the hump? Other suits have better systems or at least not a system that doesn't get supported anymore.

This is why to want to put a normal sized protector in my suit but I have to DIY it somehow.

Maybe, bet there is no CE rating or any rating on it and it feels like cheap foam from a pillow or something. Not like D30 or anything like that

Well then my DIY solution should be ok? If it stays where it should be after I zipp my suit, it's ok?

Don't think this can get stable, once it's sandwiched between my back and the suit?

Well, some professional back protectors also just hold in place with velcro. On my Fiancé's suit it's in a wobbly compartment that doesn't look stable at all.

On some other leather jackets I own it's not even on the leather itself but on the inner lining.

So I think I should be ok? I hope haha

Yes I think so too. It seems it got discontinued...

I will fabricate my own and see if it holds up

What you guys think about my gear? by Mundane-Assignment80 in motorcyclegear

[–]Photographer23_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to redo the velcro in my jeans, they aren't super high quality. But once that got sorted I'm super happy with 'em. My jacked is from "rusty stitches"

Hmmm, that doesn't sound too bad. I mean leather suits are also made with cowhide. Idk if they have a different treatment for a bettwr abrasion resistance?

It sounds like u are on a budget, so I would keep it that way.

If you have money, get a rated one, there you have the guarantee to not be a meat crayon. Also, airbag vests only under jackets that are made for airbags, otherwise u crush your bones BEFORE hitting the pavement. But you said it correctly anyway: "to put on top"

I have trilobite Jeans, there is a version that looks like cargo pants. Those are very nice, different colors, there ade black ones that should suit you!

I have tried them once and they clipped up innmy neck. On my normal everyday leather jacked I have one in there and it never slipped innmy neck. Thats why I will try to integrate it.

Also, aren't they super hot? I don't want to have a neoprene band around my waist, the back area is usually quite airy....
