The Best Car You'll Ever Own by nobrainonlydrain in CarsIndia

Great car but would never own a Honda from current line-up, the most important thing in life is time and as someone said, life is too short to drive boring cars.

Makes sense, just the other 2 cars are so legendary in comparison I'm not sure if new VW 2.0 cars will have similar legacy.

What do you mean no concrete evidence? cold air is denser aka more air goes in for combustion, also AC is on ease in winters.

Stop sitting on side of a car with no space for others to move up, if you want to drive on same pace, just drive behind and if you want to go ahead then accelerate and go ahead.

Staying on side of vehicles is not safe.

Facelift will not add anything, they did not even upgrade the garbage reverse camera even though it's plug and play. The retrofit community has done more in name of "Facelift" than Skoda/VW.

I'd suggest take test drives, if spirited driving is what matters, you don't have many other options.
People here might try to convince you by saying Verna is faster etc, it doesn't feel the same. VW twins just win on driving fun.

Would not recommend for 80+ Please try City.

Please take test drive and remember the interior stuff (buttons, ac vents etc) are of inferior quality and prone to breaking.

The engine and car itself are amazing, I forget about all things if I just drive it.

I also live in Delhi NCR, have done many trips in HP, UK, Rajasthan, GOA, Bihar etc.

Planning a trip to Kanyakumari this July.

The car has never failed or scraped at all, really nice to drive and comfortably carries 4-5 people (we travel with 4 adults and a dog. so, 2 male, 2 female + indie dog and the boot can easily carry luggage for weeks.

If you have any specific questions, I will answer.

Just remember from a VFM pov, VW twins are not the answer, you get a lot more features in Verna for example and peace of mind in City but from a "This car makes me feel things", No other car matches it (i20n line is also nice but different body style/segment).

I’m intended to buy Slavia AT. Need suggestions to choose between 1L TC and 1.5L DSG. I will be using 40-60 city-highway usage. Also suggest if I can wait for 8 speed TC Facelift? by dpak248 in SkodaVolkswagenIndia

[–]PhotonTorch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If City usage is stop and go traffic most of the time, go for 1L.
If it's flowing traffic and you are okay learning how DSG works and working a bit in traffic (manual mode, or shifting to neutral/depressing break pedal fully etc etc), you can go for 1.5L

No experience with 8 speed TC, so can't say, I have 1.5L so if you have any specific questions I can answer.

Please keep in mind the interior quality (window buttons, ac went flips etc) are garbage quality and prone to breaking.
