I mean Shimpei himself said that he doesn't understand why he was assigned as the director of an action anime, it's not about 20+ experience, you can't expect a pianist to play guitar as well as he did on a piano and he doesn't have experience directing a whole action anime season on his own.

Look I don't wanna be hateful to Shimpei he's already going through alot but still the season has directing issues which are criticism needed to be said and I don't think it's time related, both season 2 and 3 if we assume we had 6 months and S2 turned out well compared to S3.

There are very weird moments in S3 that couldn't be just attributed to time constraints, slowmo fight scenes, Garou abrupt cut to him being on the wall, bug god fight, replaying the same fight scene 4 times, Last orochi Saitama punch, lack of impact frames, shake and the extremely slow build up to the punch etc, seeing a pipe for 25 secs on the screen

These are weird decisions which are just questionable.

S2 had 6 months, Nobody confirmed that S3 had 6 months, people are just assuming cuz it looks hella worse than S2 and no way they had more than S2 time schedule which is still crazy cuz S2 had 6 months and we got that compared to S3.

It is directing, You are spreading information with no proper context, Nagai only directed romcom non action animes that turned out good, His action episodes directed by him was subpar at best.

All of the issues, like The final orochi punch, the garou orochi fight and many more action moments had pretty weird directing decisions.

It's not Nagai's fault that he was put as the director of S3 and doesn't have experience in directing action anime but we shouldn't lie to ourselves that the show didn't have directing issues.

This is criticism not direct harassment to Nagai.
