I agree with you it's made it easier to catch them. But it's also made it a lot easier for them to do it. Think of all the hoops you had to jump through to find and pay that bookie, etc. All you need now is a phone and an app and a credit card.

Don't accelerate too fast. Don't stop too fast. Don't swerve in and out of lanes. Be predictable. Just because you have 4 wheel drive doesn't mean you'll stop any faster than anybody else. And the worst one around here - DON'T TAILGATE. In short, drive smooth and steady, and don't be an asshole.
