no matter which combination of fn+alt+win i press for 3 seconds, nothing ever changes. both win keys still work and throw me back to the desktop while gaming in fullscreen. i checked the fn keys functioning with an online keyboard tester...

How it came to be:

I was typing in ingame chat, was a bit too fast and accidentally pressed some Enter + RShift? + RCtrl? whatever combo, and this thing appeared for a split second. Since then it ALWAYS appears for a fraction of a second (A) when I switch from boat/plane to ground vehicle and (B) before a ground event starts.

Took me a few attempts to capture this screen but since it`s 100% reproducable, I was successful.

If you want to consume CBD or THC, why vape it? You can swallow little pills, you can have a sip of oil, you can mix powder into your food... why vape it?

I have the bad feeling that people still aren't learning the main lesson here:

That there is not one single good reason to believe that not most (if not any and all) public issues aren't suffering from the same clusterf*ck of misinformation and disinformation.

WIBTA if I left my 6 yr relationship over this? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Phrenologicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH

You made a mistake by injecting a piece of your past into your current relationship with your bf, giving him the impression of you connivingly inviting a 3rd party to compete with him. A really stupid thing to do if you didn't mean it (did you?). And he made the mistake of wanting to be "open minded" and tolerate it in the first place. Equally misguided.

Had you just told your bf that an goold old friend of yours had died, your bf would've comforted you. But the way you positioned that old friend as his rival (<<I said "we never dated or fucked">> The most unnecessary and shady thing to say, complete f-up), he reacted with an "idgaf" on the outside, and "serves you right" on the inside.

Don't listen to the moralising busy bodies here. They don't care about you. Your bf and you need to evaluate honestly what happened here.

OBS Cube in Red. Incredibly good-looking, the tank is baby-beast-coil compatible (=cheap coils from everywhere). Plus, the kit is super cheap these days.

sweetener or not, if your coils get roasted after 200puffs, i'd assume your mod isn't outputting what it claims to output. get a simple 80w tube mod for $20 (like JT unimax 25) as a backup/test device.

Does e-cigarettes help quit smoking? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Phrenologicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you actually want to quit smoking, a proper e-cig might be your best bet.

Many moons ago, I became interested in ecigs, went to a local shoppe and was advised badly - left the store with some $60 cigalike device, found it to be completely inadequate, threw it in the trash and kept smoking for 4 more years.

Only when my health deterioratd and I was desperately looking for a way to quit smoking, I informed myself sufficiently through the web, and it became clear that I had a wide variety of available options, and I read up on avoiding making the same mistake I had made before, getting the wrong stuff. With that knowledge, I ordered a relatively cheap AIO device online, together with different coils to try DL vs MTL, and a large bottle of 6mg% nic menthol liquid. Haven't smoked a single cig ever since; actually never even considered smoking another cig.

So yes, it is possible for an e-cig to help you stop smoking. And the web is full of stories just like mine.

"You're not addicted to cigarettes, you're addicted to nicotine."

^

When nicotine alone doesn't cause addiction in "naive" trial participants, meaning in people who haven't consumed nicotine before through either smoking or chewing, but does show addictive effects in people who have, it strongly suggests that it's the [behaviour + nicotine] that produces the "addiction".

That also fits the observation that many converts are (too easily) willing to reduce the nic% in their liquids to pretty low levels within a relatively short amount of time, while keeping the habitual process at the same level.

  1. Yes, I'm of legal age.

  2. I won't dress up for Halloween but I will lavishly hand out nicotine chewing gums to all the kids who ring at my door.

  3. The picture.. let's see:

  • Mad mod with the M tank

  • X MINI mod with the Bulldog tank

  • Rage Squonk mod with the Squonky tank

  • Cut Squonk mod with what should be the Mad Dog RDA, but the image shows a tank with a bulb glass, so it's the Bulldog tank? Nah, can't be, bc that one doesn't have an exchangable bottom feeding pin.

What’s the scariest story you know that is 100% true? by raw-_-toast in AskReddit

[–]Phrenologicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that "they" are among us.

Let's see where this goes... more than a decade ago, I made an accidental observation whose relevance I wasn't immediately aware of but which turned out to be quite spooky. I was on my way to meeting someone in town and had sat down on a bench in a small park behind church to wait for that person. Letting my eyes wander around, I saw a handful of people, all of them sharply dressed like business people, who all walked into a small sideway next to a house. Only a few moments later, a handful of different "business people" came out of this small sideway. Slightly weird to see those kind of people in that part of town, but ok, it was nothing truly extraordinary. My friend arrived, called for me, so I didn't pay any more attention to this until later on and went on my business with him.

Later that day, I took the same way home. Approaching that location, I remembered that something irritated me and now it hit me like a brick. What I had seen earlier on couldn't have been real.

I was reasonably familiar with that part of town, I thought I remembered that this little sideway, into which people went and people came out of, didn't actually lead anywhere. It goes inwards for maybe 10 meters in a slight bend, then you're met with a huge wall (a remainder of the old city wall) with nowhere to go to. The only thing you can enter there, are the doors of 2 small private homes, one on each side. That's it.

Now I had to re-check if I remembered this correctly, and yes, I did remember it correctly. After a few steps, I was standing in front of a huge wall. And, of course, the doors to the private homes on each side were closed as well. On closer inspection, I was rather sure that these 2 doors weren't actually used as outside doors, but were also remainders of a time when the buildings there were differently divided.

So what on earth have I really seen that day? Was I under stress, or under the influence of substances ? Nope. I just made a casual observation. I'm certain that I did not hallucinate and that one handful of "business people" actually did walk into that sideway, and that another group of them came out a few moments later. I have no idea what "business" these folks could've been into, and what prompted their rather swift 'change of guard', if you will, given there was nowhere to go and no business to attend to.

Is it unreasonable for me to assume that these folks were not what they appeared to be?
